Audition for all voice parts. Singers Companye is a professional level chamber choir that sings demanding repertoire in a wide variety of styles. Candidates should have a strong background in ensemble singing, a good sense of period style and should read choral scores with ease. These are not paid positions but the performance level is excellent. Rehearsals are held on Wednesday evenings in Akron from 7-9:30. The Lakewood Masonic Temple swing dance at 15300 Detroit Avenue is the longest running swing dance in the Cleveland area. Amazing live music and DJs have been keeping everyone's toes tapping the second Friday of every month since before 1998. We have one of the biggest swing dances in the area with over 150 people attending each month. Attendees have a variety of dance experience (including none) and come from all walks of life and ages. You do not need to bring a dance partner. We rotate partners during the dance lesson. How often do you get to meet 50-100 new people in under an hour? We provide the highest quality swing dance instruction from some of the nicest, most patient people you will ever meet. Our staff includes regional, national and international swing dance competitors (and winners) in multiple swing dance forms. It should be noted that although these instructors are elite, they are also VERY down to Earth, friendly, and encouraging. Dances are $12 per person, $10 for students and seniors with a valid ID. $5 for first-timers this month From 8-9pm Get Hep Swing instructors lead a beginner-friendly, jitterbug lesson. Remember, you do not need a partner. 9-12 The TrueNorth Big Band hits the stage. Each month we feature a different band. DJs play a variety of swing dance-able tunes during the band breaks. We welcome anyone to join us who has an interest in dance, music, socializing and fun. We don't care what your physical ability or size is, where you are in life, where you are on the spectrum of sexual or gender orientation, what color or creed, or non-creed, you are. Are you a man who wants to learn how to follow or a woman who wants to learn how to lead? That's cool! This idea is not new to the swing dance scene. We are the easiest club to join. Dancing at Lughnasa is being produced by the Theatre Department at Hiram College. A cast member needed to withdraw from this production. A male actor is need to play the role of Gerry Evans. The character must be able to act, sing, and dance. The rest of the roles have been casted. Auditions are schedule for Wednesday, January 10 starting at 6:00 pm at 11762 Dean Street on Hiram College campus in the Frohring Performing Arts Hall. Hiram, Ohio 44234. The actor playing the role of Gerry Evans will rehearse two or three days a week following this schedule: ? Rehearsals Start the week of January 15th ? Mondays through Thursdays (6:00pm to 9:00pm) ?
