*Wandering Aesthetics* and *Dunamis Theatre* are proud to announce auditions for two upcoming youth shows this summer: *“A Play Within A Play On A Midsummer’s Day” *and *“Bang, Bang You’re Dead”* *Wandering Aesthetics* and *Dunamis Theatre* are collaborating this summer to produce two shows for young actors; *“A Play Within A Play On A Midsummer’s Day”* and *“Bang, Bang You’re Dead”*. Under the direction of Kyle Jozsa, Benjamin Rexroad, and Nici Romo, both plays will offer young performers an opportunity to create as an ensemble and work on their craft in a style unique to Wandering Aesthetics and Dunamis Theatre. *Time:* 4:00pm to 7:00pm *Date:* Monday, May 14 and Tuesday, May 15 *Location:* The Center for Inner Peace • 239 Stow Ave. • Cuyahoga Falls, OH 44221 *“A Play Within A Play On A Midsummer’s Day”* This show is a modern adaptation of* A Midsummer Night’s Dream* with a twist. Review of "The Royale" at Cleveland Play House

Cleveland Play House leads with its left with expressionistic, heavyweight drama ‘The Royale’ Bob Abelman Cleveland Jewish News, The News Herald, The Morning Journal Member, American Theatre Critics Association Howard Sackler's Tony Award- and Pulitzer Prize-winning play “The Great White Hope” offered a dramatization of the real life struggles – the demonization, the racism, the ridicule – of boxer Jack Johnson after becoming the first African American heavyweight champion of the world at the start of the 20th century. Originally staged in 1967, the drama was a gargantuan production that featured 63 actors playing 247 roles in 20 scenes that jump counties and countries over the course of three and a half hours. The show boldly and uncompromisingly took to the stage at a time when the civil rights movement took to the streets. Marco Ramirez's “The Royale” – premiering in 2013 and currently being staged by the Cleveland Play House as the main event of this year’s New Ground Theatre Festival – explores the personal demons Johnson encountered on his way to that championship fight. The storytelling is comparatively sparse and intimate, stripped down to one act, five actors and a boxing ring. And it is given an expressionistic theatricality that doesn’t so much serve to display the state of racism in this country as subtly remind us just how deeply ingrained it is in the American psyche. ICONICA Teen Vocal Group Auditions for Future Replacements The Tony Award nominated producers of Broadway’s LITTLE WOMEN THE MUSICAL and the upcoming Broadway revival of THE SECRET GARDEN are pleased to announce auditions for the award winning Cleveland based teen vocal group ICONICA. We are seeking strong, well trained, male and female vocalists age 15-17 (any race, ethnicity, or body type). The ideal candidate would possess an outgoing personality while being able to function as a team player. Interested candidates should submit a current headshot and resume along with a video singing two contrasting styles of musical theater songs (i.e. ballad & uptempo). Both songs must be accompanied by piano or track, a-cappella submissions will not be accepted. Video links should sent in the form of private YouTube links. Email submissions to: IconicaMusic(a)gmail.com The submission deadline is June 1st, 2018. Finalists will be called in for an in person audition with the music director & group producers. Finalists and their parent(s) will be called in for an in person interview. Parental involvement is crucial to the success of the group. At least one parent must participate in the group and be present for all rehearsals and performances. Pay scale varies based on performance type, all profits are split equally among the group members. The producers provide their time and services on a voluntary basis and receive no compensation. ICONICA with Adriana Holst, Hope Spinner, Christian Thomas, and Ally Yellets recently won the “Land of Cleve Achievement Award” BEST OF CLEVELAND 2017 for their 2 SOLD OUT performances of “16 Going on Broadway” at Playhouse Square. ICONICA members have performed at sold out concerts in some of the most prestigious venues in the USA including 54 Below in NYC and Carnegie Hall. A musically diverse group of professional teen vocalists from the worlds of Pop, Rock, Musical Theater, and opera. Group members have opened for or performed with some of the entertainment industries most top performers including: Hot Chelle Rae, Christopher Cross, The Irish Tenors, Celtic Women, Jim Brickman and Drake Bell. ICONICA music direction is provided by Charles Eversole. Mr. Eversole is the Artistic Director of Cleveland’s world-renowned youth chorus “The Singing Angels.” He holds vocal music degrees from the University of Michigan and Baldwin-Wallace Conservatory of Music.
