Rubber City Theatre seeks a Production Assistant and Costume Shop/Wardrobe Assistant for the 2018-2019 Season. Both positions are part-time hourly and will report to the Production Manager and Artistic Director. Below are the job descriptions. We are in need of female models between the ages of 25 – 35 for a product video shoot in Toledo, OH on June 18th. The produced pieces will be product videos that feature the technologies in two showerheads for a well-known faucet manufacturer. The selected talent will be featured in the shower but will only be seen from the shoulders up, and will wear a tube top and shorts for the entire production. Most recently she presented a duet, It's a Man's World at the Ballet in the City's 5-year gala. Lauren has also participated in Akron Children's Hospital Dancing for the Kids fundraiser for the past four years collaborating with partners to create original choreography. Beginning Acting for Adults This class will explore the theory and practice of the basic tools of acting: body movement, vocal production, and imagination. This class will also include an introduction to character analysis, audition basics, monologue work, scene study, and improvisation. We have one of the biggest swing dances in the area with over 150 people attending each month. Attendees have a variety of dance experience (including none) and come from all walks of life and ages. You will not need to bring a dance partner. We rotate partners during the dance lesson. How often do you get to meet 50-100 new people in under an hour? We provide the highest quality swing dance instruction from some of the nicest, most patient people you will ever meet. Our staff includes regional, national and international swing dance competitors (and winners) in multiple swing dance forms. WHAT - Open to the public swing dance WHEN - Friday, June 8th 8-12 WHERE - Lakewood Masonic Temple, 15300 Detroit Avenue WHO - Anyone may attend. No previous dance experience or partner needed. COST - Dances are $12 per person, $10 for students and seniors with a valid ID. $5 for first-timers. From 8-9pm Get Hep Swing instructors lead a beginner-friendly, jitterbug lesson.
