Broadway Dreams, a performing arts education organization dedicated to providing training, mentorship and life skills building for all, is holding a weeklong intensive *June 24-29* at Harlem School of the Arts in New York! We're excited to add long-time songwriting team *Lynn Ahrens* and *Stephen Flaherty* to our already phenomenal lineup of teaching artists. The duo, winners of the Tony Award, Drama Desk, Outer Critics Circle and many others, are behind such Broadway successes as *Once On This Island, Anastasia, Ragtime* and *Schoolhouse Rock.* They'll be joining stars including *Christopher J. Hanke *(*How To Succeed in Business Without Really Trying*), *Spencer Liff *(*So You Think You Can Dance*), *Tyler Hanes* (*Cats*), *Alex Newell* (*Once on this Island, Glee), **Quentin Darrington* (*Once on this Island*), *Ari Groover* (*Head Over Heels*), and *Samantha Pollino* (*Head Over Heels, Hamilton*) to create and perform in a showcase presentation attended by industry insiders! In 2017, we had a record-breaking 64 students secure parts in first class stage and screen productions. It is only May of this year, and we already have *26 students* who have booked exciting main-stage roles. New Cleveland Pops Youth Orchestra announced

June 1, 2018 New Cleveland Pops Youth Orchestra announced, rehearsals begin this fall The renowned Cleveland Pops Orchestra, in collaboration with The Music Settlement, has established The Cleveland Pops Youth Orchestra to nurture and train young musicians to reach their full potential while promoting critical thinking, self-confidence, and leadership skills through music. Starting October 1, 2018, Youth Orchestra members will rehearse each Monday from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at The Music Settlement in University Circle. Under the baton of conductor Carl Topilow, Youth Orchestra members will explore the music of Broadway, Hollywood, jazz, light classics and popular songs. Auditions for the new ensemble will be open to intermediate-to-advanced skill level string, woodwind and brass students ages 12 to 18. The Cleveland Pops Youth Orchestra musicians will also receive coaching from members of the Cleveland Pops Orchestra and teachers from The Music Settlement. Auditions at The Music Settlement will be held from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, June 28th, Monday, July 30th, and Monday, August 27th.
