The Brecksville Theatre is Very Excited to Announce AUDTIONS FOR ELF Jr. AGES 8-17 Directed by The Brecksville Theatre's very own Education Director Meriel Sikora Auditions will be held September 9th 4-7:30p.m. with CALLBACKS right after 7:30-9p.m. by invitation only. Show dates - November 2nd - 18th, 2018 Rehearsals start mid September Please prepare 32 measures of a Broadway Song and come dressed for a dance audition. Rehearsals: Will be held three to four times a week, a mixture of weeknights and weekends. The final schedule will be set once the cast is announced, but those planning to audition should be prepared to list ANY and ALL conflicts between September 9th and November 19th. Absences during Tech week will not be permitted. Age requirements: Those between the ages of 8 and 18 are encouraged to audition. If you are younger than 8 years old, permission to audition must be granted by the director. Roles: All roles are open, and those auditioning may audition for any role. LAND OF CLEVE REVIEW: *'Spring Awakening' * Stirs Up Intense Excitement at *Near West Theatre* *Spring Awakening* is a very popular musical with young people... most likely because it's a musical about young people. Based on Frank Wedekind’s groundbreaking and controversial play from 1890, *Spring Awakening* is being presented at Near West Theatre as part of its Summer Teen/Young Adult Musical (featuring actors and actresses ages 16-25), so that means the musical is also being performed by young people! But don't freak out, old people -- the emotions this show explores and the messages it shares are easy to relate to by audience members of all ages. Director Kelcie Nicole Dugger's powerful production at Near West Theatre might not be for the faint-of-heart, but it's definitely for the young-at-heart. She stages explosive group numbers and intimate interactions with equal aplomb, aided by assistant director Amanda Bender. Actor Submissions for a New Musical - Workshop Production - RCT

Rubber City Theatre is accepting submissions for the workshop production of *The Anxiety Project,* a new musical by Rachel Dean and David Brush. ( http://www.deanandbrush.com) The workshop rehearses for two weeks, starting August 26th through September 6th (Sundays from 4pm-9pm, Monday through Thursday from 6:30pm-10:00pm.) Performances are Sept. 7th at 7:30pm, and Sept. 8th at 2:30pm and 7:30pm. Talk backs following the performances. Seeking 4 men and 9 women (between the ages of 18-50s) for the workshop. To be considered for the workshop, please email casting(a)rubbercitytheatre.com with your headshot and resume and a short video of you singing 16-32 bars of a musical theatre song. If you recently auditioned for our production of *Guys and Dolls*, you do not need to submit a video. Submissions will be accepted through 8/9/18. We will be casting after that deadline and you will be notified if we will be extending you an role for the workshop. There are no stipends available at this time.
