Show dates will be July 9, 10 and 11 and will be performed at The Stocker Arts Center at Lorain County Community College in Elyria, Ohio. The show will be directed by Jennifer Ludwig. CORRECTION: The previous post mentioned the audition dates being in september- They are actually OCTOBER 6th and 7th. convergence-continuum is casting for the Role of Roland in the play Constellations by Nick Payne, directed by Geoffrey Hoffman THE STORY: This spellbinding, romantic journey begins with a simple encounter between a man and a woman. But what happens next defies the boundaries of the world we think we know—delving into the infinite possibilities of their relationship and raising questions about the difference between choice and destiny. The play follows Roland, a beekeeper, and Marianne, a theoretical astronomer, through their romantic relationship. Marianne waxes poetic about cosmology, quantum mechanics, string theory and the concept of multiple universes pulling people’s lives in various directions, as the play itself takes the pair’s story through the stars to alternative realities. Ohio Regional Music Arts and Cultural Outreach (ORMACO) is seeking professional musicians for the 2021 Wadsworth Public Library Sunday afternoon concert/workshops. We seek all genres of music. Dates are January 10, Feb 14, March 14, Apr 11, May 2, June 13, Jul 11, Aug 8, Sept 12, Oct 10, Nov 14, Dec. 12. Contact Thomas Sigel via email- tsigel(a)ormaco.org and provide information about your training and your group. Music samples would also be helpful (you can provide or direct us to a YouTube or other site. There is a small honorarium from the library for these 1-hour programs that go from 2-3 pm. WHAT - Join us for a fun evening of swing music and swing dancing WHEN - Friday, October 11th 8 - 9 pm Beginner-friendly Jitterbug dance lesson with Amanda Bell and Marty Krebs from Get Hep Swing. 9 pm - 12 am Live music provided by Cleveland's favorite swing band - Red Light Roxy WHERE - The Lakewood Masonic Temple is located at 15300 Detroit Avenue, Lakewood, Ohio. There is a large parking lot behind the building. Enter through the front doors. BAND - Red Light Roxy Red Light Roxy is a professional band from Cleveland, Ohio that plays an upbeat mix of jazz standards, jump blues, swing, boogie-woogie and a dash of old-school R&B. Its repertoire comes from the Great American Songbook and includes familiar songs made famous by such legendary performers as Ella Fitzgerald, Ruth Brown, Frank Sinatra, Peggy Lee, Nat King Cole, Ray Charles and Louis Armstrong.
