Happy Friday! Just a friendly reminder the Stocker Arts Center's Winter/Spring Film Series on the Lorain County Community College campus will host the following upcoming film. Films are featured on Fridays at 7:30 p.m. in the Hoke Theatre. You Can Count of Me Friday, February 8, 7:30 p.m. 2000 (R) 109 min. U.S. Director: Kenneth Lonergan Cast: Laura Linney, Mark Ruffalo, Matthew Broderick Two siblings, orphaned at an early age, have grown apart as adults. Sammy, the older of the two, has stayed in the small town of their childhood. A single mother, she works in the local bank and leads a steadfast moral life with her young son. Terry, her younger brother whom she helped raise, has become a self-destructive roamer with a taste for the wilder side of life. When Terry comes for a visit, his mere presence begins to crack the veneer of Sammy's well-ordered existence. Each is uneasy with the person the other one has become; the one tangible thing that keeps them together is the family home left to them by their parents. It also becomes the meeting place of their hearts and minds as they struggle to reconcile their conflicting lives with the love that binds them together. Tickets for films are $7 each. AUDITIONS FOR WILLIAM SHAKESPEARE'S MACBETH Auditions for Macbeth have been rescheduled Thursday, Feb. 7th @ 6:30pm Metro Campus Mainstage Theatre There are no callbacks. All roles are available at this time. Audition requirements: Please bring headshot and resume (if available), be prepared to read from the script, and be dressed to move. Monologue is not necessary, but welcome (60-90 seconds). No appointment needed. Technical/Dress rehearsals March 17th – 20th Performances March 21 @ 10:30am, March 22 & 23 @ 7:30pm, March 24th @ 2pm Rehearsals begin Feb. 18th. Group Auditions begin promptly at 6:30pm.
