AUDITION NOTICE FOR AKRON CIVIC THEATRE’S MILLENNIAL THEATRE PROJECT Looking for actors 18 years of age (must be out of high school) through 40 years of age. Non-Union. Unpaid. Casting for: SISTER ACT, THE LARAMIE PROJECT, NEXT TO NORMAL, (IN)DEPENDENT: THE HEROIN PROJECT AND MUSICAL TBD FOR AUGUST 29 – 31 AUDITION LOCATION: Akron Civic Theatre - 182 S. "Forever Plaid" auditions at Rabbit Run Theater

DATE: March 18, 2019 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE - Auditions for "Forever Plaid" at Rabbit Run Theater Audition appointments are now being taken for "Forever Plaid" at Rabbit Run Theater in Madison, Ohio. "Forever Plaid" a musical originally written, directed and choreographed by Stuart Ross, runs from May 31 through June 15. The production is directed by Ann Hedger. Musical direction is by Danielle Jones and choreography is by Hannah Green. There are four roles available for men, ages 18 to 35. Four young men, Sparky, Smudge, Jinx and Frankie share a love for music. Rehearsing in the basement of Smudge's family's plumbing supply company, they become "Forever Plaid". This musical revue is chock-full of nostalgic 1950's hits performed with classic barbershop quartet harmonies. Auditions for "Forever Plaid" are Friday, Mar. 22, from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. and Saturday, Mar. 23 from 3 to 6 p.m. Actors auditioning should prepare to sing 16 measures of a Broadway-style song from memory. Please bring sheet music for the accompanist in a binder. No pre-recorded accompaniment or CD tracks. No monologue need be prepared as actors will read sides from the script. Actors should dress for movement (jeans are acceptable, no sweatpants). All auditions are at Rabbit Run Community Arts Association, 49 Park St., Madison, OH. Auditions are by appointment only. Dr. Hutton has a Masters Degree and Doctorate of Music Arts degrees in Vocal Pedagogy (Science of Singing) from Arizona State University, and is fluent in teaching both belting/music theatre technique and classical technique. Christopher attended Youngstown State University where he received his Bachelors in Voice Performance. He has also performed opera at regional opera houses for over thirteen years. Dr. Hutton offers free consultations to those interested before committing to the voice studio. Avenue Arts Marketplace & Theatre announces auditions for CHARLOTTE'S WEB Located at 324 Cleveland Ave. NW Canton, Ohio 44702 SYNOPSIS: All the enchanting characters are here: Wilbur, the irresistible young pig who desperately wants to avoid the butcher; Fern, a girl who understands what animals say to each other; Templeton, the gluttonous rat who can occasionally be talked into a good deed; the Zuckerman family; the Arables; and, most of all, the extraordinary spider, Charlotte, who proves to be “a true friend and a good writer.” Determined to save Wilbur, Charlotte begins her campaign with the "miracle" of her web in which she writes, "Some pig." It's the beginning of a victorious campaign which ultimately ends with the now-safe Wilbur doing what is most important to Charlotte. This is a beautiful, knowing play about friendship that will give your actors a great opportunity and your audience an evening of enchantment.
