Spring auditions are here and are you prepared? Dr. Christopher Hutton, Baritone, is taking new voice students and excited to get you physically and mentally prepared for auditions and performances. Dr. Hutton has a Masters Degree and Doctorate of Music Arts degrees in Vocal Pedagogy (Science of Singing) from Arizona State University, and is fluent in teaching both belting/music theatre technique and classical technique. Christopher attended Youngstown State University where he received his Bachelors in Voice Performance. He has also performed opera at regional opera houses for over thirteen years. Avenue Arts Marketplace & Theatre announces auditions for CHARLOTTE'S WEB Located at 324 Cleveland Ave. NW Canton, Ohio 44702 SYNOPSIS: All the enchanting characters are here: Wilbur, the irresistible young pig who desperately wants to avoid the butcher; Fern, a girl who understands what animals say to each other; Templeton, the gluttonous rat who can occasionally be talked into a good deed; the Zuckerman family; the Arables; and, most of all, the extraordinary spider, Charlotte, who proves to be “a true friend and a good writer.” Determined to save Wilbur, Charlotte begins her campaign with the "miracle" of her web in which she writes, "Some pig." It's the beginning of a victorious campaign which ultimately ends with the now-safe Wilbur doing what is most important to Charlotte. This is a beautiful, knowing play about friendship that will give your actors a great opportunity and your audience an evening of enchantment. Performing Arts Camp in Beachwood is hiring for the following positions. All other positions have been filled. Wandering Aesthetics, Dunamis Theatre & The Spicy Lamb Farm are proud to announce… Upcoming Auditions for The Jungle Book A Youth Performance Wandering Aesthetics, Dunamis Theatre & The Spicy Lamb Farm are collaborating this summer to produce their second show for young actors in the Spicy Lamb Players’ Barn; The Jungle Book. Under the direction of Kyle Jozsa, Benjamin Rexroad, and Nici Romo, this play will offer young performers an opportunity to create as an ensemble and work on their craft in a style unique to Wandering Aesthetics and Dunamis Theatre. OPENING THIS COMING FRIDAY, MARCH 29 AT CONVERGENCE-CONTINUUM THE PRIDE BY ALEXI KAYE CAMPBELL DIRECTED BY JONATHAN WILHELM Convergence-continuum presents the OHIO PREMIERE of _The Pride _by Alexi Kaye Campbell, running March 29 – April 20._ _The time-bending play, the first in con-con’s 2019 Star-Crossed Season, interweaves the love stories of two similar couples separated by fifty years, each with very different outcomes. _The Pride _is a collage portrait of two parallel love stories, in 1958 and 2008, between two different couples, both named Phillip and Oliver. In 1958 Phillip, who is married to Sylvia, has an illicit affair with Oliver, which would have been considered a criminal offense if it were ever discovered. In 2008 a different Phillip and Oliver have the freedom to conduct their relationship in the open. But do they appreciate the freedom to be who they are - or even know what to do with that freedom? One play. Two stories. Three characters interweaving in time. She has combined the two degrees and worked as a teaching artist for outreach programming for Attack Theatre and Dancing Wheels Company and School. Rebecca has performed with Marcia Custer, Kathy Diehl, Amanda Tarr Dance Company, The Movement Project, MegLouise Dance, and Carmen Caceres. Her work has been selected for presentation most recently at SPACES Art Gallery, Cleveland Dance Fest, dotdotdot, and has been commissioned by The Movement Project. Rebecca has taught various masterclasses including classes as a guest artist at Slippery Rock University, Cleveland Dance Fest, and The Movement Project’s 2016 Winter Intensive. She has also worked as a Production Manager for Heidi Latsky Dance and IDACO Dance Festival. Rebecca is currently the Education and Community Engagement Coordinator for GroundWorks Dance Theater and an instructor at Beck Center for the Arts. She views her work with dance as a vehicle for change, awareness, education, protest, and acceptance.
