Beck Center's production of MATILDA THE MUSICAL is need of many two-wheeled scooters. Razor Scooters fit the bill perfectly, but really---and kind can work. We're happy, of course, to return them to you if you'd like (tho some people might just want them "gone"! lol) If you wish to have them back, please put your name underneath on masking tape and seal over it with packing tape. I*n exchange for usage, we are offering two comps to the show ($70 value!).* The show runs July 12th thru August 11th. You can make comp arrangements thru me. Dr. Christopher Hutton, baritone, is taking new voice students and excited to get you physically and mentally prepared for auditions and performances. Dr. Hutton has a Masters Degree and Doctorate of Music Arts degrees in Vocal Pedagogy (Science of Singing) from Arizona State University, and is fluent in teaching both belting/music theatre technique and classical technique. Christopher attended Youngstown State University where he received his Bachelors in Voice Performance. He has also performed opera at regional opera houses for over thirteen years. Dr. Hutton offers free consultations to those interested before committing to the voice studio. We are seeking a Part-Time Theatre Teacher and Drama Club Director to guide students through their transition from high school to college. OUR ORGANIZATION Saint Martin de Porres High School is a Catholic college-preparatory program designed exclusively for students of modest means. The new teacher must be prepared to be flexible in all matters involving teaching, school administration and program and curriculum development. - Must be able to teach students successfully using and creating differentiated lesson planning and teaching techniques. - Must be comfortable with sharing teaching experiences with colleagues. - Must be comfortable with and willing to accept the existing technology of the school and expected future significant enhancements; this includes Smartboards, wireless laptop technology, grading programs and other associated hardware and software. This technology must be a significant part of the daily lesson structure. Education Requirements: - Ohio Licensure Preferred: Drama/Theatre HS (7-12) - Prefer candidates with education and/or experience teaching in an urban high school setting. - Master’s in Theatre or Education preferred. The Addams Family At Near West Theatre Fall Youth Production, Ages 9 - 15 Show Run: Sep 20 - Oct 6 Performances: Sep 20, 21, 27, 28, 29, Oct 3, 4, 5, 6 Auditions: June 27, 28, 29, 6 - 9pm ABOUT THE SHOW In the kooky, upside-down world of the Addams Family, nothing is ever what is to be expected or adored, nonetheless, this quirky family still has to deal with many of the same challenges faced by any other family, and the spookiest nightmare faced by every family creates this ruckus of a musical: the Addams kids are growing up. The Addams's have lived by their unique values for hundreds of years and Gomez and Morticia, the patriarch and matriarch of the clan, would be only too happy to continue living that way. Their dark, macabre, beloved daughter Wednesday, however, is ready for a life of her own. She has fallen in love with Lucas Beineke, a sweet, smart boy from a normal, respectable Ohio family - the most un-Addams sounding person one could be! And to make matters worse, she has invited the Beinekes to their home for dinner. In one fateful, hilarious night, secrets are disclosed, relationships are tested, and the Addams family must face up to the one horrible thing they've managed to avoid for generations: change. ABOUT THE AUDITION Please arrive 15 minutes early to register. Auditions begin promptly at the designated time.
