Part preacher, part bluesman, Lem is gifted guitarist and singer with a heart as big as the horizon. He is on a divine mission to transform the world with his voice and his music. However, he must battle his own troubled past and the violence of the present. Must be able to sing and understand the blues. AVERY “IRONWOOD” TAYLOR: Male. 40’s – 50’s. African American. Charming. Gifted. Shrewd. A quintessential bluesman, Ironwood possesses the wisdom of a life spent on the road running from one juke joint to the next. He pours these experiences into his keyboard and his music. Must be able to sing and understand the blues. SHERIFF HAROLD BEASELY: Male. 30’s – 50’s. Caucasian American. Straightforward. Decent. Stubborn. A small-town law official, Sheriff Beasely believes in the power of rules and regulations. He thinks he has seen it all … until now. TARENE DAVIS: Female. 20’s – 30’s. African American. Bold. Confident. Sensual. Working in Shug’s juke joint, Tarene is ready to use her beauty as well as her skills to help her survive in a violent world. Should be able to sing and understand the blues. MAISEY ABRAMS: Female. 20’s – 30’s. African American. Sweet. Wise. Strong. Tarene’s cousin, Maisey knows too well the joy and pain of life in a small southern town. Should be able to sing and understand the blues. SHUG: Male. 30’s – 50’s. African American. Strong. Virtuous. Sensible. The owner of a small-town juke joint, Shug is guided by his strong moral compass. JACKSON BILYEU: Male. 40’s – 60’s. Caucasian American. Entitled. Violent. Ruthless. A man who has maintained control of communities through the use of fear and violence, he senses this power slipping and is ready to use all of his vicious resources to keep it. J.L. DOUGHERTY: Male. 40’s – 60’s. African American. Amiable. Bright. Pragmatic. A furniture shop owner in Little Rock, J.L. also works as a talent scout, ready to find and promote the next big blues artist. MRS. TULEY/SHIRLEY: Female. 40’s – 60’s. African American. Mrs. Tuley runs a small-town restaurant. She is passionate about food and religion. Shirley is J.L. Dougherty’s faithful secretary. LELAND / IRA DELDORF: Male. 20’s. Mixed racial background. Leland is a young man on the run. Ira is a young man of the 1960’s who is inspired by the culture and music of the blues. DORSEL / DODSON:Male. 20’s – 30’s. Caucasian American. Dorsel runs a small farm outside of Hope, Arkansas. Deputy Dodson assists Sheriff Beasely is maintaining order in Hope. WYATT BILYEU /LYNCHMAN: Male. 20’s – 30’s. Caucasian American. Wyatt is the unbalanced son of Jackson Bilyeu. Lynchman is one of Jackson Bilyeu’s henchmen.

Looking for professional Actors/Models See below for details. *Actor/Model:* Middle-aged 45-55, Male and Female, All races & ethnicities *Shoot Details:* This is a half day photo/video, without sound, shoot for Budget Dumpster, a national dumpster rental brand headquartered in Cleveland, OH. The theme of the shoot is a home clean out and will require action footage of throwing or placing things in a dumpster as well as several poses for stills. All assets gathered from shoot will be used for digital, print, web, as well as other non-broadcast uses. Light lifting will be required. Please bring some wardrobe options as well. Plain work shirt, t-shirt, jeans or workpants, work boots and tennis shoes. *Improv Death Match* *One Year Anniversary Show* *Mahall's <http://www.mahalls20lanes.com> 13200 Madison Ave, Lakewood | Thursday June 20th | 8:30pm | $5 cash or card* *at the door* Improv Death Match is celebrating its one-year anniversary as Mahall’s premiere monthly comedy show. Improv Death Match summons three improv troupes in a monthly competition on the Mahall’s 20 Lanes main stage*, *highlighting the stars of Cleveland’s burgeoning improv community. The monthly show, created & hosted by Sam Dee, voted one of the funniest women in Ohio by Cleveland.com, began in June 2018. The anniversary of Improv Death Match will be June 20th at 8:30p.m. Each troupe performs a 20-minute set based on an audience suggestion and one prevails as the evening’s winner. Each round is presented under the watchful eye of the sword wielding executioner, while the spectators watch on the edge of their seat to witness their last unscripted words. Three troupes enter but only one can leave in this outlandish battle of wit. Each show kicks off with an "open jam" inviting audience members and improvisers to perform on stage with short-form improv games. On June 20th at 8:30pm come for a night of laughs with: · *This Improvised Life*, Cleveland based Improv pulling from live storytelling. · *Funemployed, *a long-form group from Lakewood created from Michael Busch classes · *The Houde Rats*, from The Houde School of Acting on the East Side *Improv Death Match host and creator Sam Dee is a Cleveland comedian working to expand the area’s comedy scene by producing inclusive, interactive and creative shows.
