Playwriting/ Creative Writing Tutor Even amid these trying times, there is still creativity within us. As an emerging playwright, I can help you find your voice in your written work. I can encourage you to explore beyond what you have already explored in your work. I can offer constructive feedback to develop your work further, based on goals you have for the play, short story, and novel you are writing. If the work just needs to be read by someone else, I can offer that as well. Fleshing out your literary voice and encouraging it to grow is important to me. If you would like to be tutored, please respond to this email. Sessions can be made on Zoom, Jitsi, or Facebook video through Messenger. $15/session, sliding scale as necessary. Once a session is set up, details to pay will be discussed, as well as developing a shared agreement that supports your writing with your needs with my skills to mentor your work as you need. Tim Collingwood is a local actor, playwright, writer, and stage manager in the Cleveland area. He received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Theatre and English from Cleveland State University in 2010. His plays have been workshopped at Cleveland Public Theatre in their Entry Point series in 2019 and Leap/Conceive series in 2012, Talespinner Children’s Theatre’s PLAYground series in 2019, the Manhattan Project: Cleveland in 2017, OddyTheatreLab in 2011 . He is a member of Cleveland Public Theatre’s Dark Room monthly workshops. From 2015-2016, he was a member of Ensemble Theater’s Stagewrights program. He has written articles for Howlround on disability justice in theatre in 2019 and 2017 and has an essay in the recently published book Diversity, Inclusion, and Representation in Contemporary Dramaturgy: Case Studies From the Field.

Her story is inspired by the lives and work of other female artists (Sylvia Plath, Virginia Woolf, Anne Sexton, Marylin Monroe, etc.). Her poetic monologue is an astronaut’s shout in space, a place where sound waves can’t travel. She is a clown afraid of clowns, an actress trying to free herself from her persona. ABOUT THE PLAYWRIGHT Oana Leuca is a Romanian-born poet and playwright. She immigrated to the USA in 2018 and is currently pursuing her MFA in playwriting through the NEOMFA. At the 2020 NEOMFA Playwrights Festival, convergence-continuum produced one of her plays, Autopoiesis. In April 2020, she won the Leonard Trawick Scholarship in creative writing. The Millennial Theatre Company Announces Virtual Auditions for A Killer Party the Musical! Inbox

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE November 17, 2020 MTC to Hold Virtual Auditions for A Killer Party the Musical! The Millennial Theatre Company (MTC) is proud to announce their ongoing virtual auditions for their next online production; the regional premiere of A Killer Party the Musical! Auditions will be accepted until midnight on November 27. Auditioners should record themselves singing a full contemporary musical theatre song of their choice, as well as a brief monologue, and email it to millennialtheatrecompany(a)gmail.com. Headshots and resumes are welcome and encouraged, but not required. Actors will receive a confirmation email after their audition has been received, along with a brief form to complete. If an audition is sent in and a confirmation email and form is not received, please resend your audition. A Killer Party the Musical will rehearse and perform remotely due to the current COVID-19 pandemic. There will be NO in-person meetings or rehearsals, so actors from any location may audition. Rehearsals will take place via Zoom beginning in early December. Video and audio recording will take place throughout the months of January and February. All rehearsals and recording sessions will be scheduled around the actor's availability. Actors wishing to audition may be asked to provide basic costume and prop elements for themselves, depending on their location. Actors ages 16+ may audition. All roles are open. A Killer Party the Musical tells the story of Varthur McArthur, the artistic director of a failing theater in Duluth, who invites his troupe of disgruntled actors and collaborators to the first read of an "immersive murder mystery dinner party," where no one knew that he would be the victim. Or did they? Enter the eager, determined, and untested Detective Case. After sequestering the guests into separate rooms (because, you know, social-distancing), she gets down to finding out whodunnit, uncovering secret affairs, life-long grudges, backstage drama, and a lot of musical theater song and dance.
