About our online classes: Meisner Technique - An interdependent series of exercises that build upon one another. The more complex work supports a command of dramatic text. Meisner students work on a series of progressively complex exercises to develop an ability to improvise, to access an emotional life, and finally to bring the spontaneity of improvisation and the richness of personal response to text Improv - Considered by some to be the core of good acting, improv training develops the performers ability to be spontaneous and in the moment. Very useful in the audition room and on set. Script Analysis - Learn how to analyze audition sides and find all the clues hidden within. This class helps actors make specific, informed choices about their characters and relationships with other characters, as well as familiarize actors with the setting and plot. Radio on the Lake Theatre, the only professional theater company in Northeast Ohio exclusively dedicated to the illumination of the radio play, will present the radio play adaptation of the classic science fiction film The Day the Earth Stood Still on Saturday, June 26 at 7:30 pm outdoors at the company's studio at 18516 Scottsdale Blvd. in Shaker Heights. Auditions for "Into the Woods" at the Spotlights

The Broadview Heights Spotlights Theatre will hold auditions BY APPOINTMENT for Stephen Sondheim's *Into the Woods* on WEDNESDAY, July 14 from 6:00 PM - 10:00 PM and THURSDAY, JULY 15 from 6:00 PM – 10:00 PM. Callbacks, if necessary, will be held on Saturday afternoon, July 17, by invitation only. Auditions for Stephen Sondheim’s *Into the Woods* are open to those ages 14 and up. Rehearsals will begin the week of July 25 and will typically run Sunday – Thursday however, please be aware that there WILL be some Friday evening rehearsals as well. A complete rehearsal schedule will be provided in the first week of rehearsal. The show will be performed LIVE from September 24 – October 9, 2021. The show is directed and musically directed by Ryan Bergeron with technical design by Tim Anderson and musical staging by Trish Hostetler. The role of Cinderella has been cast. All other roles are open. It is recommended (but not required) that at least one selection be a piece by Stephen Sondheim. - Bring sheet music in the correct keys, hole-punched and in a three-ring binder, and appropriately marked with your audition cutting. Singers will not be permitted to sing a cappella (without sheet music). Prelude2Cinema seeks artists and filmmakers for online streaming network Prelude2cinema is seeking an artist to design a logo for our new streaming network P2CTV. The company is based in Cleveland Ohio, but with an international audience for its movies and TV series. P2CTV is also seeking movies, TV series and shorts from all over the world. Artists and filmmakers can Contact movies(a)prelude2cinema.com P2CTV began when Emmy winning writer and award winning filmmaker Alex P. Michaels pitched a project called “Blockcityp2c “ at JumpStart. JumpStart’s mission is to unlock the full potential of entrepreneurship to transform entire communities. Alex founded Prelude2Cinema to produce his own movies and help other filmmakers. Francesco Digiannantonio, former CFO of a large company with a background in the for profit and nonprofit world oversees the corporate affairs of the company. In the spring of 2020, the world shut down due to the pandemic. Yet believing “The Show Must Go On,” Prelude2Cinema pitched at the Cleveland Leadership Center event Accelerate 2021: Citizens Make Change civic pitch competition. Prelude2Cinema wanted to build a social network and sales platform to help take “Starving Artists 2 Working Artists,” Prelude2Cinema then raised funds using a nonprofit platform named IOBY and engaged with California tech company Nogient founded by a Cleveland native. After developing the platform, it was decided the best way to help all artists was to focus on giving an audience to independent filmmakers. Blockcityp2c morphed into P2CTV, an online streaming network that would uniquely support filmmakers by offering business and marketing tools. The network P2CTV is subscriptions and sponsor supported. Prelude2Cinema will use a portion of the subscription fee to offer monthly grants to filmmakers and donate to food banks thus helping Starving Artists and fighting against Food inequality. This summer we will be changing things up and doing a production of Children of Eden Jr. over the three weeks of camp. The camp will begin with auditions, moving on to the rehearsal process, and culminating with performances on the Evans amphitheater stage.
