Beck Center Announces Auditions for "SOMETHING ROTTEN"

Beck Center is pleased to announce AUDITIONS for the hilarious musical.... "*SOMETHING ROTTEN*". Open Call auditions will take place on Sunday, Feb. 20th and Monday, Feb. 21st with audition slots beginning at 5PM each day. To make your appoint call the Beck Center Box Office at *216-521-2540 x10* during regular business hours. "*SOMETHING ROTTEN*" opens July 8th and closes August 7th, with the rehearsal process beginning the last few days of May. "*SOMETHING ROTTEN*" was originally on Beck's schedule for Summer of 2020, and had just been cast when the pandemic hit. Some original cast members remain from the original casting session (Incl. Shakespeare, Nick Bottom, Nostradamus, Brother Jeremiah, Lord Clapham and Shylock ) *The featured roles of Nigel, Portia, Bea and The* *Minstrel are open, as well as most of a very busy and well-used Ensemble!* Age ranges for Nigel and Portia are 20 to 30, for The Minstrel is 20 to 40 and for Bea, between 28 and 38 ideally. The Ensemble age range is 16 thru 65. It is anticipated that there will be one AEA (SPT) contract available. All performers 18 and older receive a stipend, and all non-Equity performers are eligible for EMC points (likely 10 or 11 weeks in this case) Please prepare a 90 second vocal selection that shows off your voice. Truth and Power will have its first reading this Wednesday. (2/9). Modern Methods Brewery, 7:00 PM, 125 David Grohl Alley, Warren, OH 44481. (330) 333-1594. "Truth from Power" focuses of the 40-year relationship of crisis hotline coordinator (a "hippie holdout") and one of her crisis workers; a straight laced, initially closeted, and shut down young man. The relationship breaks apart due to both needing to speak their truth at different points. Do we value hearing the truth? And a truth teller? Can a truth teller destroy him/herself?

Music Video Project Seeking Two Actresses (PAID) and EXTRAS (Cleveland, Ohio) *Compensation: *$100 per day for ACTRESSES, FOOD & DRINK for EXTRAS* An independent music video production with a moderate, mid-level budget is seeking a lead actress, a supporting actress, and extras for a project to be shot within the first two weeks of May. It will be shot in the Cleveland area. This particular video has dark, romantic themes and simulated sexual interactions would be required of both actresses, although no nudity will be involved. This project will be serious and professional-- the boundaries of the actresses will be respected and we wish to maintain their dignity and make this video in a manner characterized by artistic integrity..This video is not going to be pornographic in any way whatsoever. The ACTRESSES must be 21 AND OLDER . The lead actress will also be required to be able to dance to eighties music rather well and to be comfortable doing so. We will also be pursuing extras for nightclub scenes. These extras will be provided with food and drinks, although they cannot be paid monetarily. The extras will be required to dance to eighties music and to dress in attire from the time period as well. We wish for them to simply have a good time whilst helping us make our video. We plan to shoot this video within the first two weeks of May and are planning on shooting in the Cleveland area. We will pay the owners of the locations amounts we can both agree upon and wish to respect the property of said owners. The required locations are as follows: 1.)
