The classic comedy *Same Time, Next Year* by Bernard Slade *May 6 through May 29, 2022 on Thursday, Friday and Saturday at 8pm and Sunday at 2pm * *May include adult language and situations.* A wonderful, nostalgic, whimsical, touching, funny, and moving look at 25 years of American Culture, through the lives of two lovers, married to others, who rendezvous once a year for a romantic weekend. The play is directed by Ron Newell and featured in our cast are Daniel Telford and Tiffany Trapnell. The play runs Friday, May 6, 2022 through Sunday, May 29, 2022 on Thursday, Friday and Saturday at 8pm, Sunday at 2pm. Admission is $18 for adults, $17 for seniors (60+), and $10 for students (any age with a valid ID) and may be purchased by calling the Box Office at 440-331-0403 Wednesday through Saturday from 1-6 p.m. or visiting www.clagueplayhouse.org. The Gates Mills Players will be performing the Radio Play "You Can't Take It With You" for a ONE NIGHT ONLY performance on August 5th. Auditions for the play will be June 20, 21, 22 at the Gates Mills Community House from 7:00 to 9:00 PM. If you have never performed on stage before, this would be a great opportunity to try out your talents. Seasoned actors also welcomed. There is nothing to memorize. The cast will be reading from the script on stage during the performance, just like they used to do back in the 20s and 30s when they did radio programs with a live audience. Rehearsals will be held about 2 weeks before the performance, so a lot of time is not required for you to commit to learning a script. There would be minimal to no costuming and minimal blocking. You may be required to be multiple characters in the play, depending on cast turnout. This would be a great time for you to get your feet wet in a play. The play will be performed outdoors at the Gates Mills Village park under the stars. Fiancée of Harker. * *Jonathan Harker:* A young solicitor hired by Dracula to facilitate his arrival in England. Harker travels to Transylvania, is imprisoned and tortured by Dracula but escapes. Fiancée of Mina. * *Lucy Westenra:* Lucy loves life and is curious about the secrets of intimacy. Her biggest problem is having three suitors. Corrupted by Dracula, she changes from a coy, aristocratic socialite into a wanton vampire. * *Dr. John Seward:* A young doctor and administrator of Carfax Lunatic Asylum. Awkward and insecure but passionate. In love with Lucy. A man of science, he is resistant to the more supernatural explanations for the events occurring in the play. * *Renfield:* A former solicitor, manipulated and used by Dracula. Inmate at the asylum. Obsessed with eating living things (such as rats, birds, and spiders). At times he seems insane, but in fact he is trapped between his hunger for Dracula’s immortality and his fear of eternal retribution. * *Dr. Abraham Van Helsing:* A doctor and friend of Seward’s who is an authority on the mystic and occult and who eventually diagnoses the trouble surrounding Lucy. An intellectual Victorian and a superhero of sorts. * *Dracula:* Hundreds of years old but drinking the blood of the living renders him young and virile. He has great strength and the power to manipulate the minds of his victims. At times he is confident, polite, and sensual; at others he reveals pure, ruthless evil. Speaks in a non-descript Eastern European accent. * *Ensemble:* At least three additional actors to play the Vixens (the wives of Dracula), waiters, asylum attendants, maids, etc.

Unemployed and overwhelmed, Sherry retreats to her childhood bed and remains there until an unexpected employment opportunity gives her a renewed sense of purpose and hope. Now if only her mother would come downstairs, her sister would get off the couch, her very first therapy patient would do just one of his take-home assignments, her new boss would leave his gun at home, and someone would catch the tiger that escaped from the local zoo, everything would be just perfect.

The Spotlight Society presents *Spotlight on Summer:* *Godspell Jr. *and *Spring Awakening *auditions. Explore all aspects of the theatre with other young artists who love the stage as much as you do! The Spotlight on Summer Theatre Intensive is the arts camp experience that is more than a traditional summer camp. Designed in two sessions for students 9-19, the program is a comprehensive, one or two-week intensive in which students get the chance to hone their skills in a fast-paced, creative environment. Spotlight on Summer is designed to instill in aspiring thespians a deeper understanding about producing and participating in a first-class musical with working professionals. Tuition for each session of Spotlight on Summer is $200 and space is limited. All interested campers must audition and tuition includes a camp t-shirt. All paperwork and payment will be taken care of after the initial placement audition and details will be emailed to families upon registration completion. A nonrefundable deposit of $25 will be collected at the time of auditions. *Camp Details:* Session One: Artists Age 9-14. June 20-25, 2022. 9am-3pm. Quasar Wut-Wut accompanies THE FIRST DEGREE USA, 1923, Edward Sedgwick Quasar Wut-Wut, "Chicago's #3 Band," will appear in person to perform its original score to a silent melodrama that was thought lost until a complete, partially-tinted print turned up in The Chicago Film Archives in 2020. This 99-year-old Universal production has since been digitally preserved by The CFA, and the four members of Quasar Wut-Wut (who brought it back to life during the movie's 21st-century premiere last September at Chicago's Gene Siskel Film Center) are now bringing it to Cleveland! The First Degree tells of a man who is summoned to testify before a Grand Jury in a sheep-stealing case in which he was the victim. His proximity to the law prompts him to come clean on a different crime that he himself committed: the murder of his cruel half-brother, who tormented him for years (seen in an extended back story). Qu Theatr is hosting a Community BBQu & Potluck on June 2nd, 2022 from 6:30-9:30pm at Chuckery trail in the Cascade Valley Metroparks in Akron, Ohio 44310. Qu Theatr is Ohio's first LGBTQ+ theatre company and we are excited to meet you! There will be a dedicated vegan grill and other grilling available at the cookout as well.
