Summer auditions and shows are here and are you prepared? Dr. Christopher Hutton, baritone, is taking new voice students and excited to get you physically and mentally prepared for auditions and performances. Lessons will prepare each student for school Regional and All-State auditions, theatre auditions and college auditions in voice performance. Lesson prices are as follows: One-Hour Lesson is $60, Forty-Five minute Lesson is $50, Thirty minute Lesson is $40. Students range from all ages and those who have an interest in classical and musical theatre. Students consist of all ages and center around high school or younger who show an interest in performing at local theaters and their school choral and musical productions. Beck Center for the Arts Dance Education is seeking new instructors to join our faculty. We have an opening for a hip hop instructor whose specialty is teaching beginning and intermediate level students ages 7-16 for the 2022-23 school year. Our schedule consists of a 16 week fall semester, 19 week winter/spring semester and 7 week summer session. Responsibilities * Teach fundamental hip hop skills and techniques in a dance studio setting. * Develop choreography that is relevant to the students and age and level appropriate. * Inform students of the history of hip hop and help make relevant connections to today's culture. * Promote self-esteem and confidence in and out of the studio. * Ensure that class material promotes cooperation, respect for others and teamwork. Qualifications * Prior teaching experience, preferably with youth/teens. * Performance and/or choreographic experience. * Strong leadership and communication skills. * Artistic and creative with a passion for dance. * Patience in the classroom setting. * Post-secondary education in dance is a bonus. *Cleveland Public Theatre announces * *a* *Workshop* *Audition for * *Candlelight Hypothesis* *with Raymond Bobgan* *Looking to cast two types of roles… * *Principal Ensemble (2 roles open)* – one role requires actor to be Black, Indigenous, or Person of Color and one role that is open for all. Principles begin rehearsals July 25. *Second Wave Ensemble (3 roles open)** -* two roles require actors to be Black, Indigenous, or People of Color and one role that is open for all. These roles are essential for the performance and are mostly moving/singing parts with some speaking lines. Second Wave begins rehearsals on/around August 23. *About The Workshop… * This workshop will serve as an introduction (or reintroduction for past collaborators) to Raymond’s unique approach to physical, experimental theatre. This workshop will serve as a selection session/audition for *Candlelight Hypothesis*. This will be a 4-hour workshop on July 10, from 2pm-6pm and will consist of ensemble work, text, singing, and movement.
