Main St., Akron, OH 44308 AUDITION DATES: Monday, March 13, 2023 from 6PM - 8PM CALL BACKS: Wednesday, March 22, 2022 from 6PM – 8PM SHOW INFORMATION:LIZZIE: The Musical *delves into the mysterious mind of Lizzie Borden and speculates on the motivations she may have had: loss of inheritance, history of sexual abuse, overwhelming oppression and madness*. By her side is her older sister Emma, maid Bridget, and neighbor Alice. Performances June 16,17, 23, 24, 30, and July 1 2023 Rehearsals start week of May 7th, 2023 WHAT TO PREPARE: 5-minute increments. One cut is needed. 16-32 measures. Beck Center For The Arts Announces Youth Theater Thriller Comedy, William Shakespeare's Land Of The Dead, Opening THIS Weekend! As one of the oldest continuously-running Youth Theater programs in the nation, this 74th season includes a fabulously fun story to chase away winter blues. William Shakespeare's Land of the Dead was written by John Heimbuch, with direction by Dusten Welch. Running March 3 to March 12 in the Studio Theater, this killer thriller comedy will delight audiences of all ages. A "true and accurate account of the 1599 Zombie Plague" that took place backstage at the Globe, Shakespeare and the Lord Chamberlain's men must sacrifice their artistic pride, and scientific philosophy as a relentless horde of zombies overtake the stage. As the affliction spreads through London, the Globe is placed in quarantine and the survivors within must fight for their lives. Can they escape? Is there a cure? Is artistic integrity ever worth dying for? William Shakespeare's Land of the Dead combines history and horror complete with wayward clowns, quarreling advisers, and wonderful nods to Shakespearean tragedies. Dusten Welch, director, says, "Heimbuch masterfully combines the play's fun and witty dialogue with a sense of pure campy humor straight out of classic zombie flicks. It has been an absolute delight to explore this play alongside the young and talented cast at Beck Center for the Arts! Parking on-site is also FREE. *All in the Timing* is a collection of one-act plays focusing on communication and language, written by playwright David Ives and brought together with a fresh take by director Robert Ellis and assistant director James Rankin. Featuring current Tri-C students and Tri-C alumni, it's sure to be a night of laughter and fun! Tri-C Western's Drama Club will also be holding a fundraiser in support of student theater programming each night. Donations are welcome but not required to enjoy the show!

The Cuyahoga Community College Theatre department presents our Spring production at the Western campus, *ALL IN THE TIMING*, by David Ives and directed by Robert Ellis. *Opening Night is tomorrow, Wednesday, March 8th at 7:30pm.* The remaining performances are March 9th, 10th or 11th at 7:30pm. Pleasant Valley Road, Cleveland, Ohio 44130 *ALL IN THE TIMING* is a play about language and the intricacies of human communication. Through five different one act plays, David Ives explores the nature of language and the idiosyncrasies associated with its use. His musings take us from an intimate coffee house and the difficulties we face trying to identify romantic partners to a scientific laboratory conducting absurd experiments with monkeys. He then explores the ideas of a “universal language” or pockets in reality where the laws of physics are inverted or ignored. Finally, he presents different ‘variations’ on the death of a major historical figure. Through all of these stories, the audience experiences an absurd and hilarious world view that reinforces the idea that what we say is nearly as complex as what we do. *Due to some strong language and adult situations, this production is not for younger children.* *Please use your own discretion.*
