Auditions for Disney's Finding Nemo, Jr.

The Broadview Heights Spotlights will hold auditions for* Disney's Finding Nemo, Jr. *on Saturday, July 15, 2023 from 1:00PM – 4:30PM. This youth production (Ages 10 – 18) is audition-based and does not have a registration fee. It will rehearse on weekends and select weeknights from July 24 – September 14, based on cast availability. It will be directed by Spotlights’ Education Director, Tim Anderson, with music direction by Ryan Bergeron. The show runs on weekends, September 15 – 24. Auditioners should prepare a brief song from a Disney movie or other animated feature and bring sheet music in the appropriate key. An accompanist will be provided. Bring a list of conflicts between July 24 and September 24. Elf: The Musical CVLT will be bringing the musical "Elf" back to the stage in Nov/Dec 2023 after a record-breaking sold-out run in 2022! Most of the 2022 cast will be returning, and we are looking for 10-15 more actors of /all ages/ to augment the cast of returning performers. *Auditions to be held at CVLT (40 River Street, Chagrin Falls) on July 8, 12 PM - 3 PM* Director: Michael J. Rogan Musical Director: Jonathan Gordon Choreographer: Melanie Leibold Stage Manager: Andrew Karp * *Walter Hobbs (adult male, lead role)* * *Michael Hobbs (approx. age 9-12, supporting role)* * Featured roles including: o Macy's Manager o Charlie, head elf o David Lambert, NY citizen o Emma Van Brocklin, NY citizen o Security Guards o Fake Macy's Santas o Charlotte Dennon, TV Reporter o Policeman o Elf children * Come prepared to sing 16 bars of music that shows off your voice. We are also seeking children/teens comfortable with 'wheelie' shoes for the ice skating scene. *Rehearsals & Schedule:* * Rehearsals will begin Sunday Sept 24^th and will occur Monday - Thursdays at 6:30, Sundays 5-8. * Children are always dismissed from rehearsals promptly at 8PM until the last 2 weeks of rehearsals when they may be required to stay until the end of rehearsal (usually 9-9:30) in order to run the entire show. * Parents whose children age 12 and under are in the show will be asked to volunteer in some way — child organization, back stage help, etc. * There will be a rehearsal schedule given to all participants and you will only be called on days when you will be rehearsing on stage, doing choreography, or for musical practice. * Rehearsals are mandatory on the following dates: Tech Sunday Nov 12 from 12 noon to finished (usually around 9PM), and tech week from 6:30 until finished Monday Nov 13 thru Thursday Nov 16. * Show dates (mandatory): o Fridays 7:30 PM: Nov 17 thru Dec 15 o Saturdays 2PM: Nov 18, Dec 2, and Dec 16 o Saturdays 7:30PM: Nov 25 and Dec 9 o Sundays 2PM: Nov 26, Dec 3, Dec 10, and Dec 17 * A parent/guardian is required to attend all rehearsals with their children and be present in the theater to ensure that your child is safe during breaks when they are not on stage.
