This week at Cleveland Dance Project studios, we're offering $10 fitness classes! Grab a friend and check out any Pilates, Barre, Yoga, Cardio, or non-dance Movement class for just $10 each. Classes are all taught by certified experts, and class sizes are small to allow for individual feedback and guidance. Paid Choreographer Call

Cleveland Dance Project is seeking choreographers for our Season 12 showcase! We welcome all styles of dance for our showcase, seeking to create the most diverse show we can. Dances must be under 4 minutes long. Choreographers must hold weekly 90 minute rehearsals consisting of 20-30 minutes warm up/technique and 60 minutes of rehearsal. Choreographers are compensated with a stipend, provided with a small costume budget, and given professional videos & photos from the performance. Rehearsal space is provided at CDP's studio in Independence. Dances are cast with adult dancers who show up to open auditions, broken down by level from beginner to professional. Pieces are showcased on Dec 2 at Berea-Midpark High School to an audience of ~1000. Choreographers are also compensated with 50% off CDP tuition if they choose to perform in other pieces, and access to discounted CDP studio space rental rates. BECK CENTER IN LAKEWOOD ANNOUNCES AUDITIONS FOR WILLIAM MASTROSIMONE'S GRIPPING DRAMA "*CAT'S PAW*" WHICH WILL OPEN THE 2023/2024 THEATRE SEASON IN BECK'S INTIMATE STUDIO THEATRE. *Directed by NYC Director William Roudebush, CAT'S PAW opens Sept. 22nd, 2023 and closes Oct. 22nd, 2023. Rehearsals will begin Tuesday, Aug. 22nd. CAT'S PAW features 4 characters (2 male/2 female). It is expected that 2 AEA {Special Appearance} Contracts will be offered. Non AEA actors are also paid.* *Because the director is NYC based, this audition process will take place via video submission, and in the Callback process....Zoom appointments. Victor's obsession is the destruction of the world's water supply and, with it, the final destruction of the human race by pollution. When the reporter asks if he feels any guilt about the death of the 27 innocent people, he replies that hundreds of innocent people die every hour because of what mankind is doing to its water supply and do the people responsible feel guilt for this? The cat and mouse game between the young woman reporter and Victor gets more and more tense, leading to a shocking and violent conclusion. A hit at Seattle Repertory Theatre and at San Diego's Old Globe. CHARACTERS VICTOR: ( 35-45) A Genius...A Quick thinking, laser focused, hypochondriac. Intimidating & funny. A once great idealist, beaten down by the system who is now self absorbed in striking back to gain the attention his idealism failed to muster for his cause. DAVID DARLING: (40-55) A bureaucrat. Officious, pliable, knows his job responsibilities. He's capable, smart and a "yes" man who never had a conflict in his entire life. We are working on a film about Victoria Woodhull -- first woman to run for president in 1872. Do you know of: 1. a jail (set prop or real place) that would work for our Victoria Woodhull film. She was in jail in 1872 so it needs to look like that era (and not an abandoned old jail from 1872) (or be a reasonable prop piece that can be set up in a room) 2. a dress from that era to borrow/rent for our Victoria If you or anyone you know have any leads, I'd really appreciate it. "Acting By Mistake."
