Now in its 12th year, City Ballet of Cleveland’s Uniquely Cleveland Nutcracker is an experience like no other. When the curtain opens, audience members are transported to the beautiful home of one of Cleveland’s most notable families, the Halle Family. As the holiday party continues, children and adults will delight in the joy portrayed on stage. Once all the guests have departed for the evening, the real excitement begins. Who will win tonight’s baseball game: the Mouse King and his army or the Nutcracker and his baseball team? Follow young Katherine on a journey to the lands of her dreams in this uniquely Cleveland twist of a holiday classic. Pride and Prejudice- Auditions at Stow Players

Auditions for Stow Players Production of Pride and Prejudice by Kate Hamill based on the novel by Jane Austen will be held on Saturday December 14 from 1PM to 6PM and Sunday December 15 from 5:30PM to 8:30PM. Call backs will be December 16 from 6-8 pm if necessary. Auditions, call backs and performances are at the Heritage Barn in Silver Springs Park in Stow, address is 5238 Young Road, Stow, OH. We are seeking a diverse cast of talented and dedicated actors ages 18 and up. All roles are available to actors of appropriate age and any ethnicity or gender identity. We are looking for more men to audition for some fantastic roles in this fabulous and funny version of the classic story. Auditions will consist of reading from the script. Please bring a headshot and resume if available. Please bring your calendar to declare any conflicts between January 2nd and March 1st. Rehearsals will begin in early January and run Sunday afternoons and Monday through Thursday evenings. Cast members will only be called for necessary rehearsals. Technical rehearsals are mandatory and will take place Sunday March 2 through Thursday March 6. Performances run March 7, 8, 14, 15, 21, and 22 at 7:30PM and March 9, 16, and 23 at 2:30PM . The Little Match Girl Passion

On December 20th and 21st, the Cleveland Chamber Choir will present David Lang’s Pulitzer-Prize Winning "The Little Match Girl Passion", a modern day retelling of the 1845 Hans Christian Andersen story, influenced by Bach’s St. Matthew Passion. This will be a captivating, immersive experience, featuring new connective music by award-winning local composer Tom Lopez and a visual arts collaboration with the students of the Cleveland School of the Arts. A selection of holiday works from a variety of choral traditions will precede Lang’s work. The Little Match Girl Passion invites us to think about those who are in need. This concert is presented in partnership with the Northeast Ohio Coalition for the Homeless, aligned with the themes of David Lang’s award-winning work. The concerts are presented with the support of the Cleveland School of the Arts and grants from The Aaron Copland Fund and The Amphion Foundation.
