Seat of the Pants' Salon Series is back for another season with public readings of new plays, followed by audience feedback sessions to provide help as the playwrights prepare for their next rounds of edits and rewrites. First up we're excited to welcome *India Nicole Burton* back to Cleveland for a reading of her play, *The Witching Hour. The Witching Hour *is part of a trilogy of plays chronicling the lineage of an African American family with supernatural powers. On a dark, stormy 1940 night, Sipsy arrives at her Aunt Pepsi's storefront - beaten, battered, and near death. Her arrival brews trouble, bringing family secrets to light and forcing Pepsi to reveal that the family possesses supernatural gifts. What will the relatives do when their inherited talents become known to the community? Directed by Jeannine Gaskin and produced by Benjamin Gregg, the reading features the acting talents of Ashley Aquilla, Zyrece Crump, Isaiah Gaskin, Samia Keaton, Drew Pope, and Tamicka Scruggs. You have two opportunities to catch this exciting story - both on Saturday, September 20th. Talespinner Children's Theatre *Winnie the Pooh* written by Zach Barr - World Premier WHEN: 9/18 & 9/19 @ 6pm - 9pm WHERE: 78th St Studios Suite 214 WHAT TO PREPARE: Please prepare a short retelling of your favorite childhood story while using a prop that is outside of the object's intended purpose. This can be done in a monologue from the performer's or object's point of view, a conversation between the performer and said object, or any other creative way you explore.
