Hello, The Simulation Center at Case Western Reserve School of Medicine is looking for actors of all ages, experience and demographics (18 and over) to portray patients for Medical Education Learners. You can help train the next generation of Doctors! We will train you to portray a patient so students* can practice interviewing, physical exam and professionalism. Our Standardized Patients (SPs) are employed as Independent Contractors and work according to their individual availability and interest (work as little or as much as you’d like). Most programs are held in person Monday through Friday between 8 am and 5 pm. SPs are recruited about 4-6 weeks in advance and trained before the beginning of the program. Programs are a minimum of 2 hours long (most are longer and may run over several days) plus 2 hours of training (SPs are reimbursed at $20 an hour for both the training and program). *Avenue Arts proudly announces auditions for... * *VANYA AND SONIA AND MASHA AND SPIKE* *AUDITIONS WILL TAKE PLACE AT THE CULTURAL CENTER FOR THE ARTS!!* *Located at 1001 Market Ave. N Canton, Ohio 44702* SYNOPSIS: Middle-aged siblings Vanya and Sonia share a home in Bucks County, PA, where they bicker and complain about the circumstances of their lives. Suddenly, their movie-star sister, Masha, swoops in with her new boy toy, Spike. Old resentments flare up, eventually leading to threats to sell the house. Also on the scene are sassy maid Cassandra, who can predict the future, and a lovely young aspiring actress named Nina, whose prettiness somewhat worries the imperious Masha. *"VANYA AND SONIA AND MASHA AND SPIKE" is presented by special arrangement with Dramatist Play Services, Inc.* Directed by: Brian Westerley Stage Manager: Morgan Brown Auditions will be held on Tuesday, June 29th and Wednesday, June 30th from 7-9pm Callbacks (if necessary) will take place later in the week, date TBD. Ohio Regional Music Arts and Cultural Outreach (ORMACO) continues its free Sunday Concerts in the Country at HeARTland, 8187 Camp Road, Homerville, OH 44235, with the EEJ Firelands Trio on June 13, 2021, at 2 pm. The ensemble will explore the various musical periods of pianist/composer Herbie Hancock’s legendary career — from “Maiden Voyage” to “Rockit” and more. The trio will discuss important milestones in Herbie’s career and will end the program with Q & A. Last Call for Shrek the Musical Auditions with The Millennial Theatre Company!

The Millennial Theatre Company (MTC) will conclude virtual auditions for their LIVE, IN-PERSON production of *Shrek the Musical *on Wednesday, June 9 *!* Open roles include the title role of Shrek as well as various ensemble and featured soloist roles. Those interested in auditioning can email a video audition to millennialtheatrecompany(a)gmail.com, along with a list of potential conflicts, role(s) of interest, and their resume (if applicable). Videos should include a song of choice in the style of the show. Once the video has been received, cuts from the script will be sent. Videos must be sent by June 9 to be considered. MTC will perform the production August 13-15 at the Crestview Performing Arts Center in Columbiana. The show will be directed by Joe Asente with music direction by Savannah Florkowski and choreography by Aubrie Morrison. Rehearsals will take place weeknights from 6-9pm in Youngstown and Girard starting June 30th. All actors will need to supply proof of a completed COVID-19 vaccination to perform. Unvaccinated actors are welcome to audition but must agree to complete their vaccine regimen before starting rehearsals. Actors 16+ will be considered. MTC’s production of Shrek the Musical was originally scheduled to perform in March of 2020, but was delayed due to the COVID-19 Pandemic. While most of the actors are returning to their roles, these auditions seek to fill the vacancies in the cast caused by the postponement from 2020. Shrek the Musical tells the tale of an unlikely hero who finds himself on a life-changing journey alongside a wisecracking Donkey and a feisty princess who resists her rescue. Throw in a short-tempered bad guy, a cookie with an attitude and over a dozen other fairy tale misfits, and you've got the kind of mess that calls for a real hero.
