*Avenue Arts proudly announces auditions for... * *THE CRUCIBLE!!* *AUDITIONS WILL TAKE PLACE AT AVENUE ARTS!* *Located at 207 6th St NW Canton, Ohio 44702* SYNOPSIS: The story focuses upon a young farmer, his wife, and a young servant-girl who maliciously causes the wife’s arrest for witchcraft. The farmer brings the girl to court to admit the lie—and it is here that the monstrous course of bigotry and deceit is terrifyingly depicted. The farmer, instead of saving his wife, finds himself also accused of witchcraft and ultimately condemned with a host of others. *"THE CRUCIBLE" is presented by special arrangement with Dramatist Play Services, Inc.* Directed by: Joe Soriano Stage Manager: Michael Porter Auditions will be held on Monday, June 7th and Tuesday, June 8th from 7-9pm Callbacks (if necessary) will take place later in the week, date TBD. All auditioners are asked to come prepared to cold read from the script. We also ask that you bring a current headshot and resume with you to auditions. Jazzy Pop/Rock Band Looking for Female Singer and Keyboardist

Modern pop band is looking for a female front person, and a dedicated keyboardist, to round out our lineup. We are an original group with only a few covers to connect to the audience (Men I Trust, The Marias, and Bird and the Bee are a few of the artists we cover), and are looking for someone who can embody the music we have written. Respondents should be between 25 and 35, have decent stage experience in either vocal performance or musical theater, and be looking for a long-term commitment to a project. Also, we are looking for a primary keyboardist with jazz solo experience, or at least jazz chording experience. Age is less of an issue with the keyboardist, but an appealing appearance is still a necessity. All equipment will be provided for practice and shows. Practices are twice a week in Mentor (from 6pm to 8pm), to be decided upon by everyone's availability. We are happy, dedicated individuals who love making music, and who love entertaining people.
