*Monday, October 27: 7:00pm - 8:00pm @ Olmsted Falls Branch- Featuring Tiffany Stacy* Join us for an inspiring evening where personal tales ignite connections and build community! Part workshop and part open mic, this free event celebrates the belief that everyone has a story worth telling. Storytelling is more than just entertainment – it's a powerful tool for healing and self-discovery. By sharing true experiences, you will place yourself at the heart of your own life journey, using narrative to foster understanding and connection across diverse perspectives. This event aims to build bridges, not walls, within our community. Each event will feature a different guest storyteller and provide a supportive space for anyone who wishes to share their own story. The format will be an open mic but can shift to a more intimate story circle, depending on attendance. This storytelling workshop is led by Wandering Aesthetics' Education Director Kyle Jozsa and Artistic Director Benjamin Rexroad, using the Storyteller's Way model to help participants craft their stories. After the workshop, the open mic begins! You can share your own story or enjoy listening to others. A special guest storyteller will also take the stage.

Artist Hector Vega Show October 1 through November 30 Parma-Powers Branch Cuyahoga County Public Library 6996 Powers Blvd Parma, OH 44129 (440) 885-5362 Artist Hector Vega will be displaying his work at the Parma-Powers Branch Library from October 1 through November 30, 2025. Vega is well-known for his work on Cleveland’s Guitarmania project, displaying vibrant and eclectic guitar sculptures throughout greater Cleveland. He is also known for his cityscape collages for local communities like Cleveland, Cleveland Heights, Lakewood, and Ohio City, as well as his prominent outdoor sculpture installations throughout Cleveland’s UH and MetroHealth Hospital campuses. Vega’s work is recognizable by its bold and daring use of colors and geometric patterns, which he says are intended to pay homage to his roots in the colorful and picturesque Gurabo, Puerto Rico. The Parma-Powers Branch Library welcomes you to stop in and enjoy the Hector Vega show. We hope that it will brighten your spirits and inspire you to explore your local library and the world at large with greater curiosity, passion, and imagination. Cleveland Chamber Choir: Rachmaninoff's All Night Vigil

On October 24 & 25, join the Cleveland Chamber Choir by candlelight for a concert of Sergei Rachmaninoff’s beloved "All-Night Vigil" and Reena Esmail’s "A Winter Breviary." The Vigil was one of Rachmaninoff’s favorite works, and he even requested the fifth movement (the Nunc dimittis) be sung at his funeral. Esmail’s "A Winter Breviary" takes us from winter’s darkness to spring’s light. Its harmonic language is drawn from Indian Carnatic raags (melodic modes) that are associated with the hours of prayer from dusk to dawn. Poet Rebecca Gaye Howell, who wrote the text, speaks to the connection of these works directly, “For more than a thousand years, across the world and often without knowing, these two spiritual traditions have met, together, in song. Both raags and canonical prayers offer a constancy that marks a life by the well-loved day; they both act as a kind of clock for the soul.” Join us on this profound journey of light and hope, as we consider how the idea of vigil – a period of wakefulness and watchfulness – can help us find peace in a chaotic world. *Hell’s Kitchen*, straight from Broadway, has come to Cleveland’s Playhouse Square. It got a warm welcome from the packed State Theatre audience on the official Opening Night (October 15). It was well-deserved. Whether it was stage-shakin’ dancing or soulful songs, the production did honor to the idea that it takes both grit and love to weld one’s life and dreams into a productive whole.
