_HOMOS, OR EVERYONE IN AMERICA_ OPENS FRIDAY, OCT 18 AT CONVERGENCE-CONTINUUM Convergence-continuum continues its 2019 Season, “Star-Crossed,” with the Ohio premiere of _Homos, or Everyone in America, _by Jordan Seavey, directed by Clyde Simon. Unfolding like jumbled snippets of memory, _Homos, or Everyone in America_ is told through interweaving glimpses, jumping around among moments over a five year period in the relationship of a contemporary couple. What does it mean to be in a committed relationship? Is monogamy just monotony? If navigating this isn’t complicated enough, what can happen when, on top of everything else, the couple is unexpectedly confronted by a vicious hate crime? _Homos_ is a fearless, often funny, openly emotional examination of the moments that can bring two people together – or pull them apart. “A daringly frank, funny and affecting new play. The Cleveland Baseball Team has lost one of it's most beloved members, star pitcher Addie Joss.All the teams in the League organize to send their best players to Cleveland's League Park to play a benefit game for Addie's family. All the best players come, including the notorious Ty Cobb But somehow, his Detroit uniform goes missing on the way and he has to play in a Cleveland uniform. This is a true story. The rest we are making up and that is where you could come in. It will be like a Clue game. I am looking for a few people to play reporters, train porters, mouthy babes, concerned citizens to pitch the clues to our visitors. This is a G rated production as it is a family event but its not necessarily just for kids. The gig pays $75.You must have your own costuming. Ken Moody-Arndt and Bob Sammon will perform on Sunday, November 3, at 3 p.m. for a one-hour concert of their original material. Ken delighted the church's April audience with his songs about faith, doubt, lost love, loneliness, love and marriage, and his generally trying to make sense of life. As a retired pastor, he's seen it all and knows what he's talking about!
