Production Dates - June 7-23, 2019 (No performance Father's Day June 16, 2019) Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30 pm and Sundays at 2:00 pm. One daytime senior matinee on Wednesday, June 12, 2019. Attendance required. Requirements: - Appointments Needed - 5-minute timeslots - Call Ann Hedger at 440-951-7500 x103 to make your appointment. - Reading from script sides - Come prepared with 16-32 bars of a standard Musical Theatre song. - Bring sheet music in the proper key. - An accompanist will play for all auditioners. - Bring a detailed list of your conflicts beginning April 7, 2019. This includes any school activities/events, sports activities/events and classes you may be taking that would cause you to miss a scheduled rehearsal. All cast members must be available for tech week (June 2-6, 2019) and for all performances, including the daytime senior matinee performance. - Please bring a headshot (school picture or snap shot will do). - Resumes will be accepted (not required). Box 235, 49 Park St. Madison, OH 44057 DATE: February 26, 2019 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE - Auditions for Rabbit Run Theater's 2019 Youth Production, "Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, Jr" Audition appointments are now being taken for the 2019 Youth Production at Rabbit Run Theater in Madison, Ohio. The Youth Production for the summer is "Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, Jr.", which runs July 11, 12, and 13. With music and lyrics by Richard M. and Robert B. Sherman, "Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, Jr." tells the story of an eccentric inventor, Caractacus Potts. Potts sets about restoring an old race car from a scrap heap with the help of his children, Jeremy and Jemima. They soon discover the car has magical properties, including the ability to float and take flight. Trouble occurs when the evil Baron Bomburst desires the magic car for himself. The production is directed and musically directed by Victoria Larrabee with choreography by Stephen Sandham. Auditions are Saturday, Mar. 16, from 3:30 to 6:00 p.m. and Sunday, Mar. 17, from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. at Rabbit Run Community Arts Association, 49 Park St., Madison. There are multiple roles available for youth, male and female, ages 7 to 17. Actors auditioning should prepare to sing from memory 16 measures of a Broadway-style song or a song from "Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, Jr." Please bring sheet music for the accompanist in a binder. No pre-recorded accompaniment or CD tracks. No monologue need be prepared as actors will read sides from the script. Actors should dress for movement. Auditions are by appointment only. Nerds Unite at the Lakewood Masonic Temple Swing Dance on Friday, March 8th! Come and celebrate 3.14 with us and help raise money for a good cause, The Cleveland Junior Jitterbugs!! This is our annual Pi dance where we celebrate our geeky nerdiness openly! Wanna dress like a Tardis? That's cool! Want to dress like a band geek? That's awesome too! The cost of the dance is $12 per person. Cash only. Pay at the door. Be sure to arrive in time to take part in the easy jitterbug lesson from 8 pm to 9 pm with the swing dance geeks from Get Hep Swing! Immediately after the lesson (at 9 PM) Hepcat Revival will kick off an awesome night of music and swing dancing until 12 am. Be sure to pay attention to the songs that Hepcat plays. They have some special songs that fit our nerdy theme perfectly! When was the last time you danced to a jazzy version of the "Spiderman" theme song? Or to a swing song about plate tectonics? (a real gem!). Be sure to wear your geekiest, nerdiest attire as we will be having a costume contest! The costume contest will take place during the first band break around 10 pm.
