For Immediate Release Kill on the Hill Auditions The Spring Hill Players are holding open auditions for the upcoming spring Kill on the Hill. A troop of vaudevillians have taken over Spring Hill while in town. But what happens when one ends up dead? Eight roles are available (5-6 female, 2-3 male) for audition. Auditions will consist of an improvised interaction with our director and other Spring Hill Players. We ask all auditions to have a character or two chosen to audition as. When arriving at Spring Hill, we will choose a victim and a motive and as auditionees to improv. We will rehearse 4-5 weeknights/week and one weekend afternoon, beginning the week of February 19th. The rehearsal schedule is tentative and subject to change based on actor conflicts. EXTRA! EXTRA! READ ALL ABOUT IT!!! Baldwin Wallace University Community Arts School is auditioning for their youth production of Disney’s Newsies. The show dates for Newsies are March 29-31 2019 with rehearsals taking place Mon, Tues, Thurs and Sun. Auditions will take place beginning at 930am on Feb 10 at 611 West Bagley Road, Berea, OH. Auditioners will need to prepare 16 measures of music in the style of the show and be prepared to do a reading from the script. Dance auditions will begin at 1230 and are mandatory for all auditoners. Callbacks will begin at 2 pm. Auditoners for the character of Les must be able to play and age range of 6-10 all other roles will be cast age 10-19. Meet one of the stars of the original Broadway production of "Hands on a Hardbody" who will be appearing on stage in the Hudson Players revival that opens February 1st! We are talking about the truck! Featuring a tuneful country-rock score and soulful lyrics by Phish's Trey Anastasio and Amanda Green, this awesome new musical will make its northeast Ohio community theatre premiere at Hudson Players. The last man or woman standing while touching the truck gets to keep it. From Jesus-loving Norma, injured and out-of-work J.D., to boastful former winner Benny and hopeful dreamer Kelli, each character has their own musical story to tell. Hilarious at times, yet poignant and hopeful, Hands on a Hardbody takes audiences for an amazing musical ride, with only one winner driving away with the American dream!
