The ChagrinValley Little Theatre is looking for additional instructors for our newlyexpanded youth educational program. Classes will be held in four sessions throughout the year, and currentlywe are looking for instructors for our fall session, which will begin onSeptember 18th. The classeswill take place once a week for eight weeks primarily on weekdays between thehours of 4 and 7. Some Saturday slots may be available. These are paid positions. We are looking for instructors that can teach thefollowing classes in the fall: Acting for grades 1-3 Beginning acting for teens Advanced acting for teens Makeup/Costumes For the winter session: Musical theatre workshop – will culminate in a musicalshowcase on the last day of class Voice for the stage and dialects We are also looking for an accompanist to play for aclass in auditioning for musicals which will be happening in the fall. We also need Substitute teachers, who can teach a varietyof classes when the instructor become unavailable. Fall Theatre Arts Class registration is now open! They take place on location at TCT—a 188 seat, ADA compliant theatre located on the eastern edge of the Detroit-Shoreway area of Cleveland's near west side. Fall and Spring classes are held on Saturdays for eight-week sessions and are broken down in appropriate age groups. Through puppets, music, movement, improvisation, story-telling and acting, students develop communication skills, teamwork, confidence, and creative expression. Each session culminates with a student-created presentation for family and friends that gives kids a taste of what goes into producing and performing a show. In the last decade of the twentieth century, a beautiful young woman is found floating on an iceberg in the middle of the North Atlantic. When rescued, she says only one word: Titanic. The woman is taken to an isolated spot on the coast of Maine where an expert on the sinking of the liner, a mysterious man named John, has arranged to interrogate her. In a stark, white room, John, assisted by a skeptical doctor named Halbrech, plays a cat-and-mouse game with the woman. As time runs out, Halbrech tracks down the last living survivor of the disaster, a reclusive old woman named Frances Kittle, who has lived in seclusion for seventy-five years. By the play's end, one of the characters is dead, all of the character's identities have been questioned & John & the woman’s shared secret is revealed as they make one final journey to Scotland Road.
