The Broadview Heights Spotlights will be holding auditions for Agatha Christie’s “And Then There Were None” on MONDAY, JULY 10 from 7:00PM – 9:00PM and TUESDAY, JULY 11 from 7:00PM – 9:00PM. No appointment is needed, but auditioners must arrive within one hour of the end time. Callbacks, if needed, may be held later in the week. Jenilee Taylor is directing this classic mystery play. Roles available for 8 men and 3 women, who are able to convincingly portray ages from 18 to 65. The auditions will consist of readings from the script. Rehearsals will begin in mid-July and will typically run Sunday – Thursday evenings with some weekends, based on cast availability. The show runs September 1 – 16. If the Beast does not learn his lesson soon, he and his household will be doomed for all eternity. Story Time with Belle:Come and listen to a story told by your favorite princess, Belle, with the help from some of her friends. There will be a special copy of the Little Golden Book of the original “Beauty and the Beast” story signed by the entire cast given out to all the children along with a treat. The event will cost $10 per child (accompanying parents are at no additional charge but they must make a reservation). Reservations are in addition to the price of the show ticket. Tea Time with Mrs. Potts:Come and dine in our French provincial town and meet the characters from Disney’s Beauty and the Beast. They will be coming around to the tables to visit and you will be able to get their autograph in a special coloring/autograph book designed just for this occasion. This will be a special “reservation only” lunch that will include a light meal (sandwiches, fruit and cookies) and all the tea you would like. Mrs. Potts will be sharing a few thoughts with the children as well as a story where the enchanted objects solve a mystery along with the help of the audience. The parent meal does not include the autograph/coloring book and other extra items for the children. Reservations are in addition to the price of the show ticket.

The Fine Arts Association announces auditions for: "Wait Until Dark" By Frederick Knott Adapted by Jeffrey Hatcher Director - Ann Hedger About the Show: Forty-seven years after WAIT UNTIL DARK premiered on Broadway, Jeffrey Hatcher has adapted Frederick Knott's 1966 original, giving it a new setting. In 1944 Greenwich Village, Susan Hendrix, a blind yet capable woman, is imperiled by a trio of men in her own apartment. As the climax builds, Susan discovers that her blindness just might be the key to her escape, but she and her tormentors must wait until dark to play out this classic thriller's chilling conclusion. He is the ringleader. He uses several accents throughout the play. Suzy Hendrix -25-35, Recently blinded in a car accident and still adjusting to her blindness. Likeable with a good sense of humor and a strong need for independence, but relies heavily on Sam, her husband. She is a perfectionist. A stature that makes her physically vulnerable. Sam Hendrix - 30-40, Married to Suzy. Professional photographer and a former Marine. Very organized. Kind, trustworthy and protective of Suzy. Gloria - 10-14, Upstairs neighbor to Suzy and Sam. Sam has been paying her to help Suzy with chores and shopping. Very independent and doesn't like to be told what to do. Acts out when upset.
