*Occupation Wiseguy*, a novel by native Cleveland author Joey Bauer, on Amazon kindle now, is a must read! Based on a true story, it revisits the glory days when our fair city’s colorful home-grown gangster elite: the anti-heroes, Angelo Lonardo, John Licavoli, John Scalish, Frank Broncato, Shondor Birns, Al Polizzi, Tommy Mc Ginty and their entourage were rock stars and explosive mob enforcer, the much feared Big Ange De Nello, was the first one they called and the last man you want to meet; he was bullet proof, until iconic New York hitman Crazy Joe Gallo brought his gun to town, and then he wasn’t. Other invited guests at Big Ange’s exclusive surprise party included the three kings: Meyer Lansky, Lucky Luciano and Bugsy Siegle, and oh, there was a fireworks show at the end, designed to send him off with a bang.

The Communications Factory is looking for photography models to appear in a corporate advertising campaign for a biochemical scientific company. Who we are looking for: We¹re looking for men and women between the ages of 21 and 35 years old. The advertising campaign: We¹re producing an advertising campaign for a biochemical company based in western Ohio. They make products used in DNA research and other areas of academic science. The campaign will feature images of scientists working in lab environments and conducting important research. Location: A research lab in the University Circle area of Cleveland, OH. We don¹t have the specific location confirmed yet we expect to have that detail nailed down in the next week. What you will be doing: We need to have you pose as a laboratory researcher peering through a microscope, handling glass beakers, and other science-looking tasks. Don¹t worry, there won¹t be anything toxic or dangerous! :) You¹ll appear in 4 or 5 shots and should plan on being on location for around three hours. Model Fee: $300. This fee includes a full usage buyout. When: Sometime in the next two weeks. As soon as we have our models and location confirmed, we¹ll know a specific date. 2017 Youth Theater Program June 5th thru June 25th Under the Direction of Kelly Clark Join us this summer for an all new WRP Youth Theater Workshop! Your child will engage in activities that will teach them to be on stage and learn the tools of the actor including vocalization, improvisation, and movement. Actors will be introduced to musical theater and engage in a work of comedy. All participants will perform in a comedy, a musical play or work backstage if preferred. Instruction will also include how casting works; auditioning for parts, theatre etiquette and students will learn how to create sets, work with props, the roles behind the scenes and much more! Under the direction Kelly Clark, classes will be held June 5th thru June 23rd - 9:00 am - 1:30 pm weekdays at the Western Reserve Playhouse, 3326 Everett Road, Bath-Richfield. Performance dates of June 23 and 24 at 7:30 pm Sunday June 25 at 2:00 p.m. Children ages 8 – 17 are encouraged to register. The registration fee is $150.00 and there are discounts available for returning students and siblings.
