ABOUT THE PLAY The concept of the collaboration, which is titled "Believe in Cleveland" after Mayor Stokes' inaugural speech, is to present a contemporary performance with a historical perspective that both celebrates the achievements of Carl Stokes and also looks to the future by inspiring young voices of CMSD to carry his legacy forward. The presentation will incorporate the spoken word and live music to convey Mayor Stokes' aspirations and accomplishments. This narrative docudrama about the historic election of Carl B. Stokes Jr as the nation's first African-American mayor of a major metropolitan city combines poetry, song, dance, and multi-media. The monologues and conversations captured here are drawn from such primary source material as newspaper articles, autobiographical notes, and video clips; however, much of what appears in the piece is comprised of fictionalized accounts of the historical period. Directed by Sias, BELIEVE IN CLEVELAND is written by poet, rapper, and journalist Daniel Gray-Kontar, Executive Director of Twelve Literary and Performative Arts Incubator. Student interns from Twelve Arts have has co-written the story. Kontar says, the piece is "a testament to the hope, struggle, and triumph of a city that set race aside to make history forty years before the election of the nation's first African American president, Barack Hussein Obama." NOW ACCEPTING NON-UNION SUBMISSIONS FOR THE FOLLOWING ROLES: ROLES YOUNG CARL: 20s, African American, energetic, hopeful, must be natural with spoken-word poetry and/or rap LOUIS STOKES: 30s-40s, African American, Carl's brother YOUNG KENNETH: 30s-40s, Caucasian Male, campaign manager for Carl Stokes, hopeful, positive, strong-willed ELDER KENNETH: 50s-60s, Caucasian Male, to play "older" version of KENNETH, but still full of hope EDWARD: 40s, Caucasian Male, a phone worker on Stokes' campaign STREETS: 20s, Any ethnicity/gender; to play "the voice" of key Cleveland urban streets and neighborhoods; must be comfortable with spoken-word poetry; movement and vocals a plus Rehearsals begin immediately. Does anybody know of an EXTREMELY STRONG Rock & Roll cover band who can do all the big dance hits 1955-1959? I'm on the planning committee for a large party in August and we're thinking we want the theme to be 1950's; we need a great, non-stop dance sound. Elvis, Chuck Berry, Bill Haley, Danny & The Juniors, Little Richard, etc. No original music needed. Any direction would be appreciated.

Vincent Lighting Systems Job Posting Inside Sales/Customer Service Representative SUMMARY: The Inside Sales/Customer Service Representative for the Ohio Product department will work with members of the Inside and Outside Sales team, to grow existing customers, create new customer relationships and meet and/or exceed monthly sales budgets at an appropriate margin, while increasing customer satisfaction. Process orders, quotes and keep customers informed. Will handle shipping and receiving operations while creating and maintaining all appropriate documentation. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: * Identify customer needs and provide appropriate recommendations. * Refer customers to appropriate departments, salespeople or offices for additional assistance when necessary, with follow-up to ensure proper connections. * Create and process orders, requests for quotes, product bid requests and lead-time requests received by telephone, fax, e-mail or from the online store. * Input of sales orders, purchase orders, and shipping and receiving data. * Monitor order progress and promptly communicate any necessary information to the customer. * Support outside sales in processing orders, quotes and contacting vendors for necessary information. * Collect and verify customer contact information to ensure the company's databases are accurate and up-to-date, bringing any issues to marketing and accounts receivables' attention. * Assist walk-in customers as needed. * Help with Vincent Lighting's online store to ensure orders are processed and customers' needs are met in a timely manner. * Assist the Product Manager with setting and maintaining product warehouse standard stocking levels. * Upon generation of picking sheets, pull from stock, pack, seal, label and prepare orders for shipping. * Assist other departments in preparing packages and appropriate documentation for shipping. * Create and maintain proper documentation and tracking of shipments in and out of the company. * Receive and unload all incoming packages either manually or with a pallet jack; inspect packages to ensuring items have not been damaged in transit; verify all packing slips to purchase orders to ensure all items have been received prior to delivering internally; stock shelves with newly received products and rotate inventory. * Process customer literature requests and follow up on customer response surveys. * Perform other duties as assigned and directed. REQUIREMENTS: * A technical theatre or production background with a working knowledge of lighting basics is required. * Must have excellent inside sales and customer service experience. * Good communication skills (both written and verbal) are a must. * Must have good PC based computer skills (Microsoft Office). Previous experience with Sage 100 ERP and Sage CRM are a plus. * Must be highly organized and efficient with good attention to details. * Requires physical activity, frequent standing and walking throughout the day. * Must be able to lift and move 50 pounds on a frequent basis. * Previous shipping and receiving experience is preferred. Filmmaker Angeline Walsh is seeking a location scout for "The Coroner's Assistant", a web series currently in development and set to shoot in September. The story follows a young medical student, James Rigby, through London's East End during the late Victorian period as he navigates his new position working under a an unconventional (and sometimes criminal) coroner. It is a companion series to the Angeline Productions' original film "A Murder Party" (2016), and stars Cedric Gegel as James. This is an unpaid position.
