Gather your clues and make your guess as the "movie" unfolds through the lens of Hitchcock! As the master of suspense, Hitchcock will appear as Director for the evening. Cleveland Public Theatre (CPT) seeks a hard-working, enthusiastic, early-career technical theatre professional to join our growing team in a newly created position: Master Electrician & Carpenter. This position will work with the Technical Director to implement all technical elements for an ambitious season; including 2 or more community events, 8-10 full productions and three performance series. CPT programs in two theatres, and embraces the opportunity to produce theatre in nontraditional spaces. In addition to the work on CPT's season, the position would work closely with teens in the Technical Theatre Apprenticeship Program. CPT is a ground-breaking, professional, community-engaged theatre focused on workshopping and producing new plays, devising ensemble-based work and engaging under-served communities in making theatre. A successful candidate will enjoy working in technical theatre, have the ability to keep multiple projects on-track simultaneously, can work at different levels of production: (staged-reading to workshop to full production) and value teaching and mentoring youth. Bay Village Community Theater will hold auditions for a staged reading of "Inherit the Wind" excerpts Tuesday May 23 7-10 pm This is the play that has as its genesis in the events of the famous Scopes trial. One of the most outstanding dramas of our time. "The portrait it draws of an explosive episode in American culture, vigorously written by Jerome Lawrence and Robert E. Lee, remains as fresh as it ever was. Auditions will be held in the Community Room of the Bay Village Police Department. 28000 Wolf Road. Director Tim Peebles is looking for two elderly men for the roles of Drummond and Brady as well as one reader as narrator. Dates of Staged Reading are Saturday July 15 and Sunday July 16 with one additional date TBD.

Bay Village Community Theater Presents a staged reading of "The Twelve Pound Look" written by J.M. Barrie as part of its "All the World's a Stage[d Reading]" Series Written in 1910, Barrie (more famously known for penning Peter Pan) takes a thoughtful andhumorous look at women’s rights in early 20th Century England.On the eve of his knighthood, Harry Simms is full of thegreat things he considers he has achieved. A typist has been hired to answer the messages of congratulations. She turns out to be his former wife, Kate,now a freelance typist hired by his current wife. When Harry and Kate meet, the fireworksbegin! Tim Jones, Jackie Scheufler, Peter Toomey, and JessicaWilliams will be performing this delightful one-act reading. Performances will be held on Saturday, May 20 at O’NeillHealthcare’s Main Lounge at 2 PM and on Sunday, May 21 at Mojo’s Coffee at 6PM. The public is invited to attend bothperformances. Admission is free;donations to Bay Village Community Theater are graciously accepted. We will be using a sound system for the Mojo's performance.
