CPT’s ‘44 Plays for 44 Presidents’ offers playful perspective Bob Abelman Cleveland Jewish News, The News Herald, The Morning Journal Member, International Association of Theatre Critics The just released documentary “Michael Moore in TrumpLand” is a last-minute attempt by the liberal-leaning filmmaker to change the hearts and minds of Donald devotees, disenchanted Bernie followers, those leaning toward third-party candidates, and people who simply intend to sit out the election rather than vote for Hilary. This adds yet another loud and high-profile voice to the multi-media sturm und drang of political persuasion that has surrounded the 2016 Presidential election. How refreshing that “44 Plays for 44 Presidents” – a sketch comedy production written by Andy Bayiates, Sean Benjamin, Genevra Gallo-Bayiates, Chloe Johnson and Karen Weinberg – is not only nonpartisan but downright playful.
