Cuyahoga Community College's beginner level film and video students are creating several short projects (experimental videos, music videos, commercials, short docs, and super short narrative films), and need local talent. This is an "Intro to Filmmaking" class, taught by Prof. Bruno Tatalovic. Several students who completed this course in previous years – are now established local film artists, and they won... first filmmaking awards at local festivals and Cleveland’s 48-Hour-Film contests (Anthony Taylor). Some former students are already working on indie feature films (Thomas Matheis, Chris Arthur)… This type of collaboration is perfect for beginner level actors who need more footage for their first demo-reel. Each of these projects feature 1-2 actors only, and gives you a lot of screen time and dialogue or monologue lines. These are unpaid (volunteer / collaborate) productions. Get your first credit, your acting demo, and establish new relationships with like-minded content creators. As we know – it’s very difficult to start up in film industry and (if you’re an actor) to get an agent. So, if you REALLY want to become an actor - join local indie film artists and students now, and create content! Don't just be an INVISIBLE and UNCREDITED “extra” in big out-of-town films. ACT in local student projects! Also, if you have NO screen acting experience, but you truly BELIEVE that you have what it takes - COME and try out! These projects are 1 day (half a day) productions, sometimes in late October/November (based on actors' availability). This is “walk-in” audition (cold read or short personal monologue - if desired). If you wish to attend this audition, bring the following: -- 8x10 headshot or any decent picture of yourself; -- acting resume (even if it’s very minimal); -- if you don’t have a resume, make sure to have personal contact info (or business card); HEADSHOT PHOTO SPECIAL OFFER: Beachwood based Discovery Photo studio (operated by photographer Scott T.
