Dancers not on pointe at this time would take the pointe class to build more strength to hold turn-out in preparation for pointe work.There are three classes held Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. Burning River Baroque presents: On the Brink of Insanity, Portrayals of Women as Mad, Crazy, and Unhinged. When women are overcome with emotion, however, male composers often attribute madness or craziness to them. Burning River Baroque will present a selection of works by George Frideric Handel, John Eccles, and Henry Purcell where women’s passions and emotional expressions render them as unhinged in the eyes of their creators. In a new move for the ensemble, the program will feature an original work by Malina Rauschenfels using texts from the Salem witch trial of Bridget Bishop. 2016 Summer Cain Park Marketing Internship Program Since its inception in the late 1930s, Cain Park has been a training ground for people interested in pursuing careers in theater and the arts. Today, Cain Park/The City of Cleveland Heights offers an Internship Program for energetic and devoted students of theater production and administration. Cain Park asks interns for a 12-week commitment. Internships can start as early as the beginning of May and can run until late August. The internship is unpaid, however credit hours can be earned for the Internship Program depending on your school's rules and requirements. Summer Puppet and Mask Camp — June 20th - June 24th Kids (ages 6-10) & Early Teens (ages 11-14) Mon-Thurs 8:30AM-3PM; Fri 8:30AM-noon This one-week camp allows students to build puppets and masks, and write their own stories to perform for parents and friends at week's end. All masks and puppets made are theirs to keep. This session will be taught by Katelyn Cornelius, Elaine Feagler and Devon Turchan. TCT offers three in-house Youth Theatre Arts courses per year. They take place on location at TCT—a 188 seat, ADA compliant theatre located on the eastern edge of the Detroit-Shoreway area of Cleveland's near west side. TCT uses professional artist/educators working in their dedicated fields to teach every class, residency, and workshop. Each artist/educator has been trained to carry out TCT's educational offerings to the fullest, and to ensure that every child involved in its programming is noticed, encouraged to participate, and supported. FREE children's workshop at Talespinner Children's Theatre

Sign your kids up for this FREE broadcast interview workshop at Talespinner Children's Theatre! Saturday, June 4 at 1 PM - 6 PM Through this multi-faceted workshop, children ages 8 - 14 will learn the basic skills needed to be an on-camera interviewer! Then, they'll put their skills to the test. TCT Marketing Director Devon Turchan will call on his love of theatre and his education in broadcast journalism (find out more below) to teach children how to develop questions and engage an interview subject. Students will practice camera presence and speech clarity through a variety of TCT's acting warm-ups and exercises. After a day of preparation, this new troupe of interviewers will sit down with members of TCT's current production of "The Crocodile, The Cobra, & The Girl Down The Well," to put their new skills into action. These videos will then be used to help spread the word about that production! A pizza dinner will be provided. Students who attend the workshop will see our current MainStage show, *The Crocodile, The Cobra and The Girl Down the Well* that afternoon.
