THE WESTERN RESERVE PLAYHOUSE IS PLEASED TO ANNOUNCE AUDITIONS FOR… Rumors A Play by Neil Simon Full-Length Play, Comedy Ken and Chris Gorman arrive at a fancy dinner party celebrating the anniversary of their friends, Charley and Myra Brock. They discover Charley, the deputy mayor of New York, unconscious with a shotgun and an injury to his earlobe, and Myra nowhere to be found. As the rest of their friends begin to arrive, the couple’s attempts to cover up the incident leads to a web of rumors, twists and hilarity. Directed by Abbey Marshall Audition Dates: Wednesday, November 6th - 7pm-10pm Saturday, November 9th - 12pm-2pm Audition Location: The Western Reserve Playhouse 3326 Everett Road Bath, Ohio 44286 Callbacks: Sunday, November 10, 2024 - 11am-2pm Performances: February 2-February 22, 2025 (Fridays and Saturdays @ 8pm, Sunday 02/16/25 @ 2pm) Rehearsals: Will begin the week of December 15, 2024. FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE October 14, 2024 Little Shop of Horrors Opens This Weekend at Hopewell Theatre! YOUNGSTOWN, OH – The Millennial Theatre Company (MTC) presents Little Shop Of Horrors at Hopewell Theatre (702 Mahoning Ave, Youngstown, OH 44512) Friday October 18 and Saturday October 19 at 7:30 pm and Sunday October 20 at 2:00pm as well as, Friday October 25 and Saturday October 26 at 7:30 pm and Sunday October 27 at 2:00 pm. A third weekend has also been added, playing Friday November 1 and Saturday November 2 at 7:30pm as well as Sunday November 3 at 2:00pm. Little Shop of Horrors tells the story of a meek, down on his luck, floral assistant Seymour Krelborn, living in Skid Row. He stumbles across a new breed of plant he names "Audrey II" - after his coworker crush. This foul-mouthed, R&B-singing carnivore promises unending fame and fortune to the down and out Krelborn as long as he keeps feeding it, BLOOD. Over time, though, Seymour discovers Audrey II's out of this world origins and intent towards global domination! Will Seymour be able to stop Audrey II from taking over the world? Good morning, The students of Strongsville High School are looking for some help in acquiring/borrowing some specialty props & furniture for their upcoming production of You Can't Take It With You, which runs 11/15-11/16. Below is a list of items that they are currently searching for: * Printing press (for the character of Ed...does not need to be large) * Food (anything would be welcomed, but the script mentions blintzes, corn on the cob, watermelon, roast goose, spaghetti & meatballs, among others) * Long oval tablecloths (dark colors) * Small terrarium (for Grandpa's snakes...needs to be picked up and moved often) * Doilies * Umbrella holder for near front door * Period-style couch (3-person) * Chaise lounge/divan (for Gay Wellington to pass out on) Any help would be most appreciated.
