The Musical SHOW DATES December 3-5, 2015 Auditioning students in Grade 7 through College Sunday, October 4 4:30 PM to 7 PM OR Monday, October 5 6:00 PM to 8:30 PM Special Elementary (Grades 1-6) Audition Tuesday, October 6 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM (Elementary auditions are for Carolers, Street Urchins, Cratchit Kids, and Tiny Tim. We need only about 10-15 younger actors) Director Tim Shamburger Our auditions are held with all actors together. It is a relaxed atmosphere and we ask that students stay for the whole time. The show will have a preview performance on *Thursday Oct. 8th, 2015*; with the official opening on *Friday night, Oct. 9th, 2015* *QUILTERS* is scheduled for a 16 performance run, *closing on Nov. 1, 2015*. Performances are Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights at 8:00 P.M. and Sundays at 2 PM, and take place at Greystone Hall, in downtown Akron. The show is appropriate for all ages. A free dessert reception with the cast follows the opening night performance on Friday, Oct. 9th, 2015. *The Play* Originally developed and produced at the Denver Center Theatre, this play with music, is a joyous and moving celebration of American womanhood. It became a record-setting regional theater success before moving to Broadway and Edinburgh Festival. Proofreading Reviews Before Publishing

Actors get reviewed. They get praised. They get panned. It's part of the business. What shouldn't happen is reviews being published with information completely unrelated to what actually happened. I sent an e-mail to Roy Berko yesterday noting there were some big errors in his Spitfire Grill review, but it is still being circulated with inaccurate information. Mr. Berko wrote, "(Neely Gevaart) did a nice job with the cute "Shoot the Moon" and the pensive "Way Back Home." Both those songs are sung by a different character entirely. Neely, who plays Percy, sings "Ring Around the Moon" and "Shine." In my opinion, she does a LOT better than a "nice job," and perhaps Mr. Berko thinks so to;, but we'll never know because his review of Neely's performance got lost in sloppy proof reading.
