City Ballet of Cleveland The City Ballet of Cleveland mission is to be a ballet company of the highest caliber serving Northeast Ohio through performances and education. JOHN FAUSTUS ON THIS HIS FINAL EVENING by Mickle Maher. Robert Hawkes performs an ingenious one-man retooling of the Faust legend, with Ray Caspio as the silent and menacing Mephistopheles. One weekend only: Thursday-Saturday at 8 pm, April 23, 24, 25. Faust, a skittish, self-aggrandizing schmuck facing his final hour on earth delivers an extravagant, hilarious, and ultimately unnerving monologue about the sublime meaninglessness of nearly all human endeavors. A lean, tragicomic version of the Faust story, AN APOLOGY. presents Doctor Faustus in the last hour of his final night on earth irritated, whining, drunk, and repentant of nothing save his failure to keep a proper diary. Kent State Fashion School Presents Annual Show "Visionnaire" April 24 and 25 Tickets Still Available for Two Performances Friday, April 24 The Fashion School at Kent State University will present the Fashion School's Annual Fashion Show, "FS2: Visionnaire," on Friday, April 24 and Saturday, April 25. The show, which showcases the outstanding talents of the Fashion School's design and merchandising students, will be held in Rockwell Hall, located at 515 Hilltop Drive in Kent, Ohio. Associate Presenting Partners Dillard's and Macy's will sponsor this year's event. For the Annual Fashion Show, a panel of industry professionals reviewed students' work, which ranges from athletic wear to eveningwear, to decide which collections and looks will be presented on the runway. Merchandising students plan and organize the two-day sequence of events, which includes three runway performances and a VIP reception for donors, which will take place prior to the final Awards Show. Tickets for the evening awards show on Saturday, April 25 are currently sold out. However, tickets are still available for the matinee and evening ("opening night") shows on Friday, April 24. Tickets for the opening night show (April 24 at 7 p.m.) are $50 and may be purchased online<http://www.fashionschool.kent.edu/annual-fashion-show.cfm> or by calling the Performing Arts Box Office (330-672-2787) or visiting them weekdays 11 a.m. - 5 p.m. in the lobby of the Roe Green Center.
