Call for hours 216-295-2222. Proceeds from the dress sale will benefit City Ballet of Cleveland’s Scholarship Fund. The goal of this scholarship fund is to provide financial assistance to aspiring dancers and offset expenses associated with dance training, attire, and shoes. Proceeds will also help to fund future outreach and performance opportunities for the youth in our community.

*Company*, recently awarded a Tony as Best Musical Revival (2022), deserves its award and then some. Now at Playhouse Square’s Connor Palace Theatre, this splendid, re-conceived production directed by Marianne Elliott, shows focus on more than simply changing the lead from Bobby (male) to Bobbie (female). While *Company*’s gender identities have been rearranged to match the fluid vibe now popular, this Stephen Sondheim (music and lyrics) and George Furth (book) classic retains its original witty charm. Taught by CSU Faculty and located at CSU Arts Campus at Playhouse Square, Odyssey offers teens (age 13-18) a unique experience in learning the skills and techniques of Filmmaking. Three-Week Film Camp -- June 9 – June 28 — Each student makes their own film from concept to scriptwriting to directing to postproduction. Stories and Scripts -- July 7 - July 12 — Each student learns screenwriting with their own Celtex account and develops their own script. Acting and Directing -- July 14 - July 19 — Each student learns film acting and directing, collaborating on each others projects and performances. 5-Day Film Challenge -- July 21 - July 26 — Each student joins a crew and creates an original film. Lake Effect Concert Band and Polar Vortex Concert in the Park

Snowbelt Musical Arts Association’s Lake Effect Concert Band and Polar Vortex big band will be performing a joint concert on the Painesville Square Saturday, May 18 at 4:00pm as the final concert of Painesville United Methodist Church’s 2023-2024 Concert Series. The Lake Effect Concert Band, under the direction of Greg Hillis, will be performing a mix of classical and popular music that all has a French connection, while Scott Golenski will be leading Polar Vortex in a program of jazz standards by Duke Ellington, Henry Mancini, and Lerner and Loewe. Lauren Cvetichan, a recent graduate of Mentor High School, will be featured as flute soloist with the Lake Effect Concert Band performing Meditation from Thais by Jules Massenet. The concert is free and open to the public; no tickets are required. A freewill offering will be taken at the intermission. Concert-goers should bring a lawn chair or blanket and are welcome to bring food and beverages. Alcohol is prohibited. In the event of inclement weather, the concert will be moved into Painesville United Methodist Church, 71 Park Pl, Painesville. Restrooms are available in the church during the concert.
