NCMC AUDITIONS - ABBAPolooza

The North Coast Men's Chorus is holding voice placements for new members on Sunday, January 8th and 15th, 2023. Auditions begin at 6:00 with the full rehearsal at 7:00. You do not need to prepare a song for auditions--you will meet with Artistic Director, Richard Cole, for vocal placement. The North Coast Men’s Chorus is open to men, whether gay, bi, or straight, whether cis- or transgender, and to non-binary singers who can sing in the appropriate range for a TTBB chorus. Rehearsals are held on Sunday evenings at the Middleburg Heights Community United Church of Christ from 6:30 - 9:30 PM. Our remaining concerts of our 35th season are ABBApolooza (March 18th and 19th at Playhouse Square) and Disney Pride. Beck Center for the Arts Youth Theater, one of the oldest continuously running Youth Theaters in the country, will be holding online auditions on January 14 & 15, 2023 for their third production in their 74th season. WILLIAM SHAKESPEARE’S LAND OF THE DEAD Written by John Heimbuch Direction by Dusten Welch “A True and Accurate Account of the 1599 Zombie Plague" Backstage at the Globe, Shakespeare and the Lord Chamberlain’s men must sacrifice their artistic pride, and scientific philosophy as a relentless horde of zombies overtake the stage. As the affliction spreads through London, the Globe is placed in quarantine and the survivors within must fight for their lives. Can they escape? Is there a cure? Is artistic integrity ever worth dying for? William Shakespeare’s Land of the Dead combines history and horror complete with wayward clowns, quarreling advisers, and wonderful nods to Shakespearean tragedies. *MorrisonDance is seeking additional dancers for our 25th anniversary productionat the Cleveland Public Theatre, April 20-22, 2023.* * Performers will be paid a project fee and may be given additional opportunities for spring/summer projects. Students will also be considered for a performance internship position with a stipend. The audition will be held on Sunday, January 15 from 1 to 4 PM at the MorrisonDance rehearsal studio,5401 Hamilton Avenue, Cleveland, OH 44114. Performers must be 18 or older and have reliable email communication and transportation. Ohio Regional Music Arts and Cultural Outreach (ORMACO) and the Wadsworth Public Library begin their 2023 Live at the Library concerts with Akron-based musician Mark Alan Wade on Sunday, January 8, 2023, at 2 pm at the Wadsworth Public Library, 132 Broad Street, Wadsworth, OH 44281. Mark will showcase the hammered and mountain dulcimer and their unique histories. Selections will include traditional “old-time” American music, as well as English and Irish folk music.
