Wandering Aesthetics & The Spicy Lamb Farm present… Alice’s Adventures “Why, sometimes I've believed as many as six impossible things before breakfast.” From 1953 to 1974, the Olde Player’s Barn on SR 303 brought theatre to life in Peninsula. Beginning in 2018 Wandering Aesthetics brought theatre back to the village with their summer youth performances, A Play Within a Play on a Midsummer’s Day and The Jungle Book. Once again, students take center stage to bring Alice’s Adventures to life inside of The Spicy Lamb Farm’s Players Barn. This summer, venture “down the rabbit hole” with Wandering Aesthetics… Based on the works of Lewis Carroll, Alice’s Adventures is a youth educational production that follows Alice through the looking glass on her journey to becoming queen. Guided by an unlikely knight (Cheshire Cat), Alice discovers a world full of pawns (The Caterpillar, White Rabbit), bishops (Mad Hatter & March Hare), rooks (Tweedle Dee & Tweedle Dum) and of course, queens (Black, White & Queen of Hearts). The Cleveland Orchestra Seeks Host for Music Explorers Series

The Cleveland Orchestra is seeking an energetic host for our Music Explorers series designed for children aged 3-6 years old and their families at Severance Music Center's Reinberger Chamber Hall. The ideal candidate will be professional with acting experience, have an outstanding speaking and singing voice, be child-friendly, can sing simple children's songs, and work with professional musicians of The Cleveland Orchestra to showcase their instruments. Interested Artists should provide a private YouTube video (instructions below) to demonstrate narrating and singing ability. A sample script is attached. Videos due August 24*. This is a paid position for up to 8 performances from October to April on select Friday and Saturday mornings. How to make a YouTube video 'Unlisted' An unlisted video is a different type of private video. "Unlisted" means that only people who know the link to the video can view it. CaBARet Series Auditions Coming Up!

The Western Reserve Playhouse is thrilled to announce auditions for the upcoming CaBARet Series: 2D to 4D, on September 30, 2022 Director of the CaBARet Series: Patrick Hanlon Musical Director: David Coxe We are seeking cast members aged 21+ that can sing and tell a story onstage. Auditions are in person and we are accepting virtual auditions too. We believe the CaBARet Series is more than just a concert full of songs. They should be an experience where audience members get to see our actors for who they truly are as people, rather than just a character. For this reason we are seeking actors that would be willing to share personal stories about their lives and connect with the WRP audience. There are no equity contracts at this time. Rehearsal Process: The CaBARet Series rehearsal process is short, fun, and flexible. There will be 3 to 4 rehearsals prior to the show 9/30. Dates dependent on actors availability. *FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASEAugust 2, 2022 * *MTC to Hold Auditions for Into the Woods* *Youngstown, Ohio- *The Millennial Theatre Company (MTC) is holding auditions for *Into the Woods*, in collaboration with The Hopewell Theatre. Auditions will be held at The Hopewell Theatre (702 Mahoning Ave, Youngstown, OH 44502) on August 13 from 12-3pm, August 15 from 6-9pm. Rehearsals are projected to begin on August 16. All performers must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 by the first day of rehearsals. Those who have received their two-dose vaccine (Moderna or Pfizer) more than six months ago will be required to get a booster shot. Those who have received their one dose vaccine (Johnson and Johnson) will be required to receive a second dose. Proof of vaccination will be required before the first rehearsal. *Into the Woods* performs September 30, October 1-2, 7-9 at The Hopewell Theatre with rehearsals running M-F from 6-9pm. Auditioners (ages 16+) should prepare a 30-60 second cut of a song in the style of the show. An accompanist will be provided. There will also be a cold read from the script. All roles are open.
