With 30 years’ experience as a New York actor on the stage, as on-camera and voice-over talent in national commercials, and the narrator of over 60 audiobooks, eve wants to share her real-world skills with you! In addition to teaching at an accredited conservatory in New York City, eve privately coaches high school students (including those at LaGuardia High school -The “Fame” School) in audition prep where they have been admitted to some of the country’s elite training conservatories: University of Michigan, NYU, Emerson, Pace, Elon, etc. and works with professional and amateur adult actors on audition prep, and maintenance of technique. eve also has worked with students, professional actors, and business professionals on the acquisition of a more General American accent for business purposes as well as various regional accents (including Scottish, RP, Irish, Manchester, etc.). Utilizing a holistic approach, eve has developed a program that applies breath, vocal work, with physical and imaginative freedom to encourage engagement of the whole self to connect thought and action without strain and tension. eve teaches from a protective and nurturing place, while maintaining demanding expectations which allow for a fun and safe classroom where her students can freely explore in concert with a rigor this industry demands. *Audition prep:* Each session will be 1.25 hours Performing Arts high school admissions (2 session minimum) College conservatory admissions (2 session minimum) One-off Theatrical / Film & TV castings *Foundations of Acting I course:* 12 weeks – 1 2.5-hour session/week Grounded in Stanislavski’s system, in this course we will explore the “self” as a gateway to character through imaginative exploration in tandem with concrete tools and techniques that will guide you in your journey of living truthfully under imagined circumstances. At the end of this course, you will have a monologue that you will be able to comfortably use for auditions. *Foundation of Acting II course:* 12 weeks – 1 2.5-hour session/week Continuing the work in Foundations of Acting I, we will advance to scene work. In addition to deepening our understanding of Objective & Given Circumstances, we will be introduced to techniques such as Relationship and Stakes among others. Working with contemporary scripts, I will introduce to you the skill of ‘How to read a script as an actor’. Students should expect to work on 2 scenes over the course. The Willoughby Summer Theater is back for its 2nd Season of FREE theater. This years offerings include: 12 Angry Jurors featuring: Vinny Horvath, Kennedy Smith, Chris Herak, Joe Taricska, Rollin DeVere, Mark Swinerton, Thomas Kim, Robert Haag, Joe Daprano, Stephen Morse, Zac Fromme, Steph Wismer & Denise Boothe. Directed by Darryl Lewis the remaining shows are Thursday, August 4th and Saturday, August 6th at 7 pm. Shakespear's Macbeth, (a joint production with Chagrin Valley Little Theater) adapted and directed by Michael Rogan features: Stephen Berg, Don Bernardo, Kate Williams-Bernardo, Kim Bixenstine, Kevin Derrick, Rollin Devere III, Brian Diehl, Jenn Hagaman, Thomas Kim, Claudia Lillibridge, Stephen Morse, Elizabeth Roter, Mark Swinerton, Michelle Vagi, Douglas Vanek. The remaining shows are Wednesday, August 3rd and Friday, August 5th. Shows start at 7 pm. Dance4Life is an afternoon of joy-filled song and dance. Stewart isa Theater-for-Young-Audiences (TYA) Production and will be directed by BrentonCochran and Kayleigh Joyce. The play tells the story of Emily, who has a bigproblem. Not only is she sent to bed just as she reaches the highestlevel of her new video game, but there’s a monster in her closet! It’snot just her imagination. Her friend Stephanie saw it, too. Suffering the teasing of her brother and his friends, Emily and Stephanierecruit some of their own friends to help capture the monster. What theydon’t know is that Murray, the closet monster, doesn’t mean any harm — he onlywants to play Emily’s new video game. He’s too scared of kids to eventhink about trying to frighten them. Murray’s boss, the Dream King, hasheard about his goofing off on the job, and now Murray is on probation.Murray’s supervisor, fellow monster Wanda, is not happy with him either. After all, every monster knows that when a child is born, a monster is assignedto watch over her — not to play with her toys and especially not to get caughtin the act! What will happen when Emily has all her friends over for asleepover to try to capture Murray? Even with Emily’s friend Brain’scareful analysis and planning, the girls wind up trapping the Dream King andhis secretary, Toady, instead of Murray. Performance dates areSaturdays, October 8 & 15 at 2:00PM and 6:00PM, and Sundays, October 9& 16 at 2:00PM Auditions are open toages 11 and up. There are roles for teens and adults.
