The holiday season is approaching and our annual Costume sale for all your Halloween needs, dress up days, and extra consignment items including tights and shoes allow you and your child to move freely and safely in costumes. We have several Flapper dresses! This year will be a little different. For social distancing purposes everyone will need to schedule a 15-minute viewing time. Please call the studio 216-295-2222, to schedule a time over up to Saturday, October 30 to view the selection, there will also be some free items available. Beck Center for the Arts’ Youth Theater is accepting resumes for Costume Designers for its 2021 production of The Real Valkyries of Valhalla. This is a paid position (modest flat fee per production). THE REAL VALKYRIES OF VALHALLA Written and Direction by Rachel Spence Synopsis: Join us for this action-packed comedy based on Norse Mythology. Odin, Loki, Thor and other "marvel"-ous characters tell their origin stories through humor, battles, and a little bit of Ragnarok and Roll. Featuring Beck Center's pre-teen actors, these myths will have you laughing all the way to the fjord. Why is Thor's hammer Mjolnir so heavy? Why is Freyja's chariot led by cats? What's up with all these silent j's? These Viking and Valkyrie vignettes will be the most fun you can have during an apocalypse. Movie review for Bryan Reeves & Peter Anthony Fields <https://www.facebook.com/PeterFields007?__cft__[0]=AZWYxoiWfFi7Sb7U0RC5vUna…> film, "Seventy Times Seven", based on Fields's (one act stage play), "Monster". I can only start by saying the cinematography drew me in and composition of subjects was solid and ideal. The sound was ideal, especially considering the dialog driven nature without much scoring needed. Ending music was nice and somber. Storywise, this film is definitely an attention grabber with a what would you do in their situation hook. Basically, a school shooter, played by Bryan Gildone, gets taken down by a son, played by Tony Bellow, and brought to his mother's house, played by Jean Zarzour, for potential judgement. The added pressure is the family had family taken away in the past, by another bad guy. The premise becomes what to do....turn in to police or go vigilante. However, the twist is it is a religious household. The acting was solid! I won't spoil what goes on, but the perceptions that are given all have validity towards something, but honestly just makes you think back to...what would you do?
