Hello, My name is Paige Wesolowski and I am the Fundraising chair for Norwalk Arts Center (NAC). We are a grassroots organization dedicated to increasing art programming in the North Central Ohio region. We are also rebuilding the historic Norwalk Theater, with the goal of bringing live shows, theater, movies, and other art to downtown Norwalk, Ohio. February 2022, we are planning on having a standup comedy/ improv show in Norwalk. Proceeds will go to future programming and rebuilding of the theater. We are looking for acts that may be interested in donating time for the show. This will be great exposure for a great cause, and a new market of patrons! We are looking for 5-30 minute sets. If you or your group is interested in participating, please let me know ASAP as well as your availability in February. We are looking at having the show on a Thursday, Friday, or Saturday. Cleveland Play House (CPH) is accepting resumes for potential Assistant Director positions on mainstage productions. Productions with open positions include The Three Musketeers and I'm Back Now. Applicants do not need extensive directing experience. We are looking for Northeast Ohio based theatre artists and other individuals who are passionate about storytelling, collaboration, equitable artistic practices, and learning. High School and MIddle School Students in Grades 7-12) who are looking to add some drama to their Winter Break are welcome to audition for THE MONOLOGUE SHOW FROM HELL. Directed by John Leasure Please arrive at the Heritage Barn located just off the Young Road entrance to Silver Springs Park at 1PM sharp Monday Dec 27th, and plan to stay till 4PM. Tryouts will be low pressure, and all experience levels are welcome to join us for some lighthearted fun… At the end of the audition the 24 roles will be posted. However, we can also do extensive research and interviews with people on which to build a documentary theater piece about a dynamic individual or a particular group or people, say veterans or victims of domestic violence. We have the option to create characters based on those interviewees or by using the subject’s exact words from an interview transcript in a verbatim piece. In this workshop, we’ll discuss the techniques necessary to research a topic and get comprehensive interviews from which to draw material or language for the docudrama. Each student will develop a shorter piece that can stand on its own or be developed into a one-act or full-length play. Kris unleashes waves of good will with Macy's customers and the commercial world of New York City by referring parents to other stores to find exactly the toy their child has asked for. Seen as deluded and dangerous by Macy's vocational counselor, who plots to have Kris shanghaied to Bellevue Psychiatric Hospital, Kris ends up in a court competency hearing. Especially at stake is one little girl's belief in Santa - the daughter of Macy's head of personnel*. The show features Stephen Morris as Kris Kringle; Victoria Kirgesner as Doris Walker; Daniel Hunsicker as Fred Gayley; and eight-year-old Vivian Morrison as Susan Walker. The Singing Angels are hiring musicians We are looking for student aged drummers and bass guitarists with advanced skills in improvisation to help accompany The Singing Angels at concerts. Musicians must be able to feel the beat and improvise as there may not be specific parts written. Musicians will rehearse 3 - 5 times prior to our performance.
