WHITE by James Ijames opens October 15th at convergence-continuum Gus is an artist. Vanessa is an actress. Gus wants to be presented in a major exhibition for artists of color, so he hires Vanessa to perform as Balkonaé Townsend, a brash and political artist that will fit the museum’s desire for “new voices.” Everything is great, until Balkonaé takes over and Gus has to deal with the mess he’s made. This plays spins out of control as it explores issues of race, gender, sexuality, and art. Starring: Anthony Covatta, Amanda Rowe, Lifan Deng, and Sarah Kunchik. Audition Announcement for Theatre Agápe‘s All Together Now!

Theatre Agápe is thrilled to announce an audition call for our inaugural production, All Together Now!, a musical revue! After months of laying the groundwork to build a socially conscious and sustainable nonprofit, we are ready to mount our first onstage production. In short, we are here. Theatre Agápe is an arts organization committed to inclusion and accessibility. This will be a hybrid production performed to an in-person audience as well as streamed. If you are unable to perform in person, we will accommodate filming your contributions and projecting your portion into the live performances. This applies to children under the age of 12 as well. Audition Information: Please submit a video audition to theatre.agape21(a)gmail.com. Audition should be 16 bars of a musical theatre song. Videos are due no later than Sunday, October 17th. Rehearsal Information: The bulk of in-person rehearsals will take place between Sunday, October 31st and Thursday, November 11th. A few rehearsals may be held prior to those dates, and they will be conducted over Zoom. Thelma Thistlethwaite (Carla Petroski), President and CEO, has some bad news to share with the employees, and with her nephew, Thomas (Mike Majer), by her side, she announces that earnings have been less than stellar this year and some cuts will have to be made to save the company. This upsets long time employees, Mavis Stout and Craig Loomis (Bryan Fetty and Donald Butchko), who have invested years of their lives into the company. And while Preston Fox (Eric Unhold), Thomas' husband, has his real estate license to fall back on, the other employees would be out on the street if the loan officer from First National Bank, Mark Andrews (James McPeak), follows through and forecloses on the company. Fingers are pointed, tempers flare, and someone ends up dead. Now it's up to you to unravel the mystery and discover the identity of the killer.
