RED DANCE CENTER RED SCHOOL OF MODERN DANCE OPEN HOUSE/FALL ENROLLMENT AUGUST 15,22,29, 2015 9:00am-1:00pm The RED Dance Center, the official residence of Real.Edge.Dance Company (Summit County’s only professional modern dance company) will hold three open houses on Saturdays in August for fall enrollment in dance technique classes offered by the new RED School of Modern Dance as well as enrollment in master classes that will host guest dance artists, a special class on self-defense, and Pilates classes offered by PHYSIQUE KINETICS LLC. Cleveland Play House, America’s first regional theatre and a Tony Award recipient, is currently looking for dressers with wig experience for their 2015 – 2016 season. In addition to normal wardrobe skills applicants must be able to apply and remove lace-front wigs and facial hair; have roller setting and styling skills; and have general wig maintenance experience. Qualified applicants must be able to follow instructions, be reliable, self-motivated, and detail oriented. Applicants will work with the Wig Master and Costume Shop Manager to outline duties and demands for each show. FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – Thursday, July 30, 2015 KARAMU HOUSE CLASSICS IN THE LOT “JULIUS CAESAR – SET IN AFRICA” (CLEVELAND, OHIO) – Celebrating 100 years, the historic Karamu House presents its 2nd Annual “Classics in the Lot” series with the AUDELCO Award winning JULIUS CAESAR SET IN AFRICA on August 1 – 2, August 8 – 9, and August 15 - 16, 2015. Saturday show times are 2:00 PM and 6:00 PM and Sunday show times are at 3:00 PM. Based on the work by William Shakespeare, the Karamu House Production JULIUS CAESAR SET IN AFRICA is adapted by Rome Neal, Audelco award winner and the Artistic Theatre Director of the Nuyorican Poets Café theatre program in New York City. This production is directed by Fred Sternfeld, a nationally renowned award winning director who has received over 100 awards and member of Stage Directors and Choreographers Society. The play is set in Mali, Africa in the 13th century. The show is filled with African drummers and dancers appearing with authentic Nigerian attire and accents revealing an all too familiar Shakespearean storyline with an African backdrop to a new setting.
