The Wadsworth Footlighters will be holding auditions for... "Café Murder” By: Nathan Hartswick Directed By: Cory Ott WHEN: September 8th @ 6pm and September 9th @ 6pm Performers only have to attend one audition date. WHERE: Grace Lutheran Church (146 High Street, Wadsworth, OH) WHO: Anyone over the age of 16. (Or Younger With Parent Permission) We are looking to cast 9 or more Total Actors (7 females, 2 either male or female) AUDITION REQUIREMENTS: Please come prepared to do some improv. There will also be a cold readings from the script. MUST BE AVAILABLE OCTOBER 16th, 17th, and 18th FOR PERFORMANCES. *Please bring calendars and a list of conflicts between the dates of September 10th through October 18th. We will work around conflicts as much as possible. *Please bring a photo of yourself so we can connect names with faces. Synopsis: Rosemary Saint-John is a loud, annoying hypochondriac convinced she is allergic to water. Celebrating her birthday at a restaurant with her four kooky sisters–a hippie, a valley girl, a trucker and a banker–Rosemary makes enemies with everyone around her. When she disappears and is presumed murdered, the only objective witnesses in the restaurant are the audience members, who must cast their vote. Was it one of Rosemary’s sisters? The self-taught detective? The passionate French chef? The polite and proper mâitre d’? The sarcastic waiter? No one is above suspicion in this delightful dinner theatre murder mystery! "The Star On My Heart" Original Play and Outreach Project

The Geauga Lyric Theater Guild Teen Drama project presented the play I Never Saw Another Butterfly a few years ago. The play, about the Holocaust and the approximately 15,000 children of the Terezin concentration camp, was directed by Angela Miloro-Hansen. During that production, contact was made with Inge Auerbacher, one of the few child survivors of the Terezin camp. Since that time, Chris Cipriani and Miloro-Hansen have been working to bring Inge's amazing and inspirational story to the stage. Working with Inge Auerbacher's memoirs, and Inge herself, Angela has spent the last two years turning the events of Inge's life into a play. The Star On My Heart is an independent project in collaboration with Geauga Lyric Theater Guild, Chardon, and the Shore Cultural Centre, Euclid. The original play will premiere at both venues in November. Along with the performances there will be educational outreach, and Inge Auerbacher will be hosted in Ohio to attend the premier and to speak at a few limited engagements. This project was fortunate to receive an Ohio Arts Council grant through Shore Cultural Centre towards a portion of expenses. The OAC grant has a goal to encourage economic growth, educational excellence and cultural enrichment for all Ohioans. Shore Cultural Centre is extremely honored and thankful to have received this funding. Additional funding for the project will come from variety of sources, one being a recently launched Kickstarter campaign. A $5,000 Kickstarter goal must be reached by September 20, 2015 to receive the monies from that campaign. *The Movement Project 2015-2016 Season* *Call for Musicians: * *Application Due September 1st Extended to September 5th!* The Movement Project is a professional modern dance company whose mission is to challenge perspectives, evoke social change and to bridge communities through the power of movement. For our 2015-2016 season, TMP is creating a new work exploring the physical and emotional state of musicians during performance. We are looking to hire 3 musicians to compose, collaborate and perform with 3 TMP choreographers. Together, the choreographer and artist will create a piece with original composition and a choreographic work that explores the complexities in the musical score, as well as the physical embodiment of musicians in performance. The final product will include 3 dance solos accompanied onstage by a musician. Length of each solo will be between 5-6 minutes long. Meaning each musician must compose a work between 5-6 minutes in length. The performance will take place May 20th and 21st, 2015 at the Lakewood Masonic Temple and a “work in progress preview” on February 27th (location TBD). Review of "Farragut North" at Ensemble Theatre

Ensemble Theatre’s ‘Farragut North’ is stuck in a political spin cycle Bob Abelman Cleveland Jewish News, The News Herald, The Morning Journal Member, International Association of Theatre Critics With a candidate debate in Cleveland’s rear view mirror and a party convention on its horizon, the timing for a play about the current state of American politics couldn’t be better. But while the timing is right, the play selected by Ensemble Theatre isn’t. Beau Willimon’s “Farragut North” offers an insider’s view of the cut-throat strategizing, rampant paranoia and high testosterone that drives the team that drives the campaign of a would-be President. The play, written in 2008, is inspired by Willimon’s first-hand experience working as an aide on Howard Dean's 2004 run for the White House that self-destructed during the Iowa caucus. It could easily have been inspired by the abundance of films that share its singular focus on the real power behind politicians, including "The War Room," "Primary Colors," “The Candidate” and “Wag the Dog.” Yes, this has been done before and, more recently in the 2011 film “The Ides of March” and the Netflix original TV series “House of Cards,” it has been done better. In Loving Memory

Brandon Landers, of Los Angeles, died August 20, 2015 as a result of injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident involving a drunk driver. He was born April 9th in Cleveland, Ohio. He attended and graduated from Kent State University majoring in computer science & political science.Brandon was a member of the Order of the Vision of the Film Directors of America. He also is the recipient of multiple filmmaking awards throughout the world. He attended Grace Episcopal Church in Venice.Brandon is survived by his parents, brother and his sister in Cleveland and Akron Ohio. He also leaves his fans, friends and colleagues in the professional and film world.Funeral arrangements are being handled by the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels. Calling hours will be Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9pm. The funeral will be held on Thursday at 9:30a.m. at the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angeles. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider donations to the M.A.D.D. (Mother's Against Drunk Driving) program. Envelopes will be available at the Cathedral and can also be mailed to P.O.
