The final two performances of Closing Night by Craig May will be performed on August 28-29, 2015 at 7:30 pm at the SALT Box Ministries, 408 West Market Street, Canal Fulton, Ohio. The cost of admission is $8.00 for adults and $6.00 for seniors and children under the age of twelve. This is a murder mystery set in a Broadway theatre in 1955. The company is rehearsing a horrible play called Deadly Nightfall. The play has been torn to ribbons by its egocentric star who believes that it is he who will save the show. There is a death and that is when the mystery starts. Thirteen actors will portray thirty eight characters which makes the action even more exciting and interesting. Kent State University at Stark Theatre announces auditions for Almost, Maine Kent State University at Stark Theatre has announced open auditions for the first theatrical production of the season, Almost, Maine, written by John Cariani and directed by Kent State Stark Assistant Professor of Theatre and Theatre Director Brian Newberg. Auditions are open to everyone, including students and community persons. On a cold winter's evening, under the magnetic magic of the northern lights, several couples in the sleepy, mythical town of Almost, Maine experience love's joys and perils through a series of romantic, whimsical, unpredictable and often hilarious vignettes. Hearts are embraced, bruised, broken and mended - almost - leaving the people of this remote town forever changed. Auditions for Almost, Maine will be held on September 8 and 9 at 6 p.m. in the theatre of the Fine Arts Building, 6000 Frank Avenue NW in Jackson Township. Roles for this production are flexible. Male and female actors of various ages will be required to play multiple characters. No children. Those auditioning have the choice of working from sides (selected scene excerpts) or they may perform a prepared monologue. The director may also choose sides for people. The production will be performed on November 13-15 and 20-22 in the Kent State Stark Theatre. Rehearsals commence on September 13 and will take place five evenings a week until opening. Scripts (and audition sides or scene excerpts used for the auditions) are available for perusal for periods up to 24 hours from the secretary (330-244-5151) of the Fine Arts Building, Monday through Friday, during business hours (8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.). Audition appointments are recommended, but not required. Scripts and audition sides will also be available in the reserve area of the Stark Campus Library.

2015/16 Inclusive Dance Schedule (Saturday Only) Class Description 11:00 am-12:00 pm---Contemporary Ballet. Contemporary ballet is a genre of dance that incorporates elements of classical ballet and modern dance. It employs classical ballet technique, but allows greater range of movement of the upper body and is not constrained to the rigorously defined body lines and forms found in traditional, classical ballet. Students will work on posture, balance, strength, agility, and fluidity in this class. 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm---Performance Ensemble. A class for students who are interested in performance opportunities throughout Cleveland. To participate in the Performance Ensemble, students are expected to attend at least one technique class and must be in attendance at every rehearsal unless prior notice is given. This group has showcased their talents at the Tolerance Fair, Baldwin Wallace half time shows, Autism 4D, and on stage alongside the Dancing Wheels Professional Company. (All Ages) 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm -----Jazz Funk, also called Street Jazz, borrows a lot of movement from other dance styles. From ballet, modern and hip-hop to lyrical, jazz funk incorporates little bits and pieces of other dance genres and wraps it into a funky style that is both fun and expressive!
