Shows*: The Tempest (July 1-17) Macbeth (August 5-21) *We will not be holding open auditions for Robin Hood: An Adventure, with Music. Summer Schedule: Performances: Thursday through Sunday nights at 8:00pm Rehearsals: Tuesday-Friday evenings, Saturday & Sunday afternoons and/or evenings, Mondays off. The Tempest rehearses in the beginning of June, date TBA. Macbeth rehearses in the beginning of July, date TBA. What you need to do at the audition: Please come prepared to read a short classical scene of your choosing (reader provided), or perform 1 or 2 classical monologues no more than three minutes in total length. Money: All performers paid a fee. Limited Special Appearances AEA contracts available. Do OSF company members need to come? Short. Sweet. Film Fest March 4 - 6 Alex Theater @ The Metropolitan at the 9 The Short. Sweet. Film Fest strives to showcase the best local, national, and international films from up-and-coming filmmakers. Did we mention there will also be live music throughout the film festival? *Friday, March 4 - Local Filmmaker's Night*, doors open at 6:00pm and films will run from 7-10:00pm, followed by live music and a local filmmaker's networking/social event. *Saturday, March 5*, doors open at 11:00am and films will run from 12noon-9:00pm, followed by live music and a filmmaker's networking/social event. Winner of the Tony "Triple Crown" for Best Musical, Best Score and Best Book, Avenue Q is part flesh, part felt, and packed with heart. The laugh-out-loud musical tells the timeless story of a recent college grad named Princeton who moves into a shabby New York apartment all the way out on Avenue Q. He soon discovers that although the residents seem nice, it's clear that this is not your ordinary neighborhood. Together, Princeton and his new-found friends struggle to find jobs, dates, and their ever-elusive purpose in life. Filled with gut-busting humor and a delightfully catchy score, not to mention puppets, Avenue Q is a truly unique show that has quickly become a favorite for audiences everywhere. The show addresses humorous adult issues and will be presented exclusively to an adult audience. The structure of the show takes its cue from a beloved children's TV show; a place where puppets are friends, Monsters are good and life lessons are learned. This W.G. Performers are needed for a book launch party at Loganberry Books on Larchmere on April 22 from 7pm-9pm. Performers call time is 6pm that day. Stipend available. Wandering Aesthetics is proud to announce the next Electric Pressure Cooker Cabaret – a monthly “Anything Goes” Open Mic–style Cabaret. The Electric Pressure Cooker will be held on Saturday, February 20, 2016 at 8 pm at None Too Fragile Theater inside Pub Bricco, located at 1841 Merriman Road in Akron, Ohio. The Electric Pressure Cooker is open the public. Tickets are $10 for audience members and $5 for performing artists. Started in the basement of a flower shop, it is an artist driven event that sees over 100 audience members, 30 performances and 6 non-stop hours of art. Registration for performers begins at 7:30 pm. An emcee, house drum kit and sound system (with operators) are provided. Willy Kollman – Torchbearers Class of 2014 – is this month’s emcee. ALL varieties of acts are encouraged to perform. But the sky is the limit; no art is too taboo for the #EPCooker! ALL levels – from beginner to the most experienced – are encouraged to perform.
