*Registration still open for TALESPINNER CHILDREN'S THEATRE Spring Youth Theatre Arts Classes!* *Deadline is February 29th!* *REGISTRATION IS STILL OPEN for Talespinner Children's Theatre's (TCT)* 2016 Spring Youth Theatre Arts Classes, but the February 29th deadline is coming up fast! Classes are held at TCT, located in The Reinberger Auditorium, 5209 Detroit Ave., Cleveland, OH 44102, and are available for students ages 3 through 14. They run Saturdays, March 5th through April 30th, with no classes on Saturday, March 26th. Don't miss out on this wonderful opportunity to give your child the gift of adventure, story-telling, self-confidence, and creative communication!! Through puppets, music, movement, improvisation, story-telling and acting, students develop communication skills, teamwork, confidence, and creative expression. Seeking actors for two staged readings of ""The Bloodless Jungle". An exciting new political drama written by Peter Lawson Jones and directed by Karamu’s highly acclaimed Artistic Director Terrence Spivey Actors are being sought to play the roles of Ethan St. John: (Lead) African-American lawyer, politician and former college athlete. In his thirties. Tio Villaneuva: (Supporting) Puerto Rican campaign worker. In his twenties. The staged readings will be performed Saturday, March 12th and Saturday, April 16th in the Cleveland area. A stipend will be provided for each performance. An orthodox rabbi, a queer studies professor, and the spirits of Robert Plant and Virginia Woolf inhabit this slightly magic-realist play about family, making mistakes, retribution, and coming clean. Prior to this world premiere, To the Orchard received a National Foundation for Jewish Culture New Play grant, and development at Boston Playwrights Theatre and Brooklyn College. Most recently, the play was named a finalist for the the Jewish Plays Project's 2016 Jewish Playwriting Contest.

Kent State University at Stark Theatre presents The Bicentennial Project Kent State University at Stark will present their second theatrical production of the 2015-16 season. The Bicentennial Project by Arwen Mitchell was created in collaboration with The Canton Repository. The play will be performed on February 26, 27, March 4 and 5 at 8 p.m. and on February 28 and March 6 at 2:30 p.m. in the Kent State Stark Theatre, 6000 Frank Avenue NW in Jackson Township. American Sign Language interpretation will be provided for the performance on March 6 at 2:30 p.m. Opening night is Scholarship Night with proceeds benefitting students in Kent State Stark theatre and music programs. Take an authentic walk into 200 years of life in Ohio's Stark County as portrayed through the powerful lens of the media. In collaboration with The Canton Repository, this tapestry-style play is the narrative of our community. Experience living excerpts of history that reveal where we came from, how we got here and where we are going. Ticket prices are $10 for adults and $7 for non-Kent State students, children under 17 and senior citizens. All Kent State students are admitted free of charge with current student ID. Tickets may be obtained beginning Monday, Feb. 15.
